On the reliability of dive computer generated run times: the 2022 synopsis of our 9-part series with dive computer evaluations

Abstract

On the reliability of dive computer generated run times: the 2022 synopsis of our 9-part series with dive computer evaluations, we give a brief overview, summarize our results and list all the topics / references so far. During 2021 & 2022 we presented these results at various „TEC 4.0: update-meetings“ in (alphabetical order): Athens (GR), Constance (DE), Eilat (IL) and Tel Aviv (IL) for researchers, divers and instructors, diving physicians & diving contractors and made them visible thereafter @ RESEARCHGATE. During the previous 9 parts ([1] to [9] and all the references therein), we observed by some of the dive computer manufacturers deviations from documented algorithms/decompression models. Up to now, these deviations have never been systematically analyzed nor is there any complete documentation from the dive computer manufacturers publicly available.
