The purpose of this study was to explore the meaning of sustainable development orientation as an educational value. Second, it is based on community spirit that pursues the co-existence and prosperity of the entire earth. Third, it signifies an integrated perspective that considers lives of individual and community, not just the environmental-economic-social areas. In conclusion, sustainable development orientation in education is value-oriented process that pursues harmony and balance.
