Based on the 16Mn steel, by using V-N microalloyed technology, high strength angle steel was designed. ... [Show full abstract] significantly with increasing of V/N content. The increment of 0. 01% V on yield strength was about 23 MPa. The dissolution temperature lower than 1150°C based on the thermodynamic calculation, a relative lower reheating temperature can increase the impact toughness of angle steel greatly. Finish rolling temperature showed great effect on yield strength and impact toughness in low V-bearing steel, but showed no obvious effect to the high V-bearing steel. Synthesis performance of angle steel was improved greatly by using V-N microalloyed technology, and mechanical properties was insensitive to the rolling parameters. V-N microalloyed technology was suitable for the angle steel mass production application.
