Reflective Practices for teaching in higher education

Reflective practice is the idea that 'practitioners' engages in reflection as part of their normal approach to the job. With regards to higher education, they may be applied to the learning of their student and equally to teachers. The present chapter describes reflection and experimental learning, reflection and learning styles, reflective practice, and teaching in disciplines and illustrates two case studies to comprehend its modalities in higher education.

One Teacher's Journey Toward Effective Teaching

The conclusion finds four main assertions: effective teaching promotes students learning, the philosophy of constructivism promotes effective teaching, effective teaching deals with areas outside the curriculum, and effective teaching is time consuming and difficult.
