Abstract

The RUDDER Static Bicycle — designed by the Spanish studio ROJOMandarina — is integrated in the thematic axis known as Complicidades, that expresses itself, in the plan of Design practice, through the exploration of the world (and of things) assumedly centered on the experience resulting from its use; in its ergonomic comfort and in the optimisation of the way the user interweaves and relates himself with each one of these artefacts. Like many other daily objects, the RUDDER Static Bicycle tries to be transparent (i.e. invisible; imperceptible) — but this phenomenon occurs in a distinctive way at each moment, as the contact with this object is put into perspective.
