societiesandcultures,girls’feelingsandexperiencesof
menstruationintheUKandUgandaareextremelysimilar.This
couldbeduetocommontaboos.Iconcludedmyresearch
withtheneedtothinkmoreholisticallyabouttackling
menstrualtaboosacrosscountrycontextstoensurewomen
andgirlsdonotfeelalone...Issuessurroundingmenstruation
arefarmorethanpracticalconcernsrelatingtoinadequate
toiletfacilitiesandaccesstoproducts.Stigmaandshamefeltby
womenduetotaboosisveryreal
