Relationship Between Critical Thinking Skills and Students' Decision-Making Skills on Virus Materials In MAN 1 Tasikmalaya
Abstract
This research aims to find out the relationship between critical thinking skills and students' decision-making skills on viral material in MAN 1 Tasikmalaya Regency. The research method used is correlational. The population in this study was all students of class X MIPA consisting of 8 classes. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with samples class X MIPA 3, X MIPA 4, and X MIPA 5 with 107 students. Data collection techniques using instruments in the form of tests. The research instrument used in this study consists of two instruments, namely critical thinking skills instruments in the form of a question in the form of a description, as many as ten questions with five indicators. For the instrument of decision-making skills in the form of a question in the form of a description, as many as 12 questions with five indicators. The data analysis technique used is a bivariate correlation test. Based on the results of research shows that critical thinking skills have a weak relationship with decision-making skills. This is evidenced by a correlation coefficient value of 0.208 with a determination coefficient value of 4.3%. Keywords: Critical Thinking Skills, Decision Making Skills, Virus Material.

Perkembangan abad 21 mengharuskan peserta didik untuk memiiliki keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Salah satu keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi abad 21 adalah keterampilan mengambil keputusan. Sains yang bersifat abstrak membutuhkan pendekatan yang sesuai dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya adalah dengan diterapkannya teori pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan scientific literacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil pengambilan keputusan dan indikator keterampilan pengambilan keputusan peserta didik pada topik ekologi, juga untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat dampak dan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan pengambilan keputusan dari penerapan teori pembelajaran kontekstual dan pendekatan literasi sains. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen yang menggunakan desain one group pre-test and post-test design. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa nonprobability sampling. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 14 peserta didik kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah Boarding School Pringkuku. Analisis data yang dilakukan adalah analisis parametrik dengan melakukan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat variasi keputusan setiap peserta didik dengan indikator pengambilan keputusan tertinggi dalam mengidentifikasi pilihan dan menentukan pilihan. Terdapat pengaruh dan perubahan yang signifikan dengan rata-rata selisih sebesar 14,28 dan effect size sebesar 1,322. Hasil penenitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teori pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan scientific literacy memberikan dampak yang positif terhadap keterampilan mengambil keputusan bagi peserta didik.

A transferable skill is an ability that connects various skills, such as basic skills, digital skills, and specific skills of a job, in order to be successful in future work and life education. This study aims to identify the transferable skills of students of the Faculty of Education, Makassar State University, Guidance and Counseling study program as a basis for development in the generation Z career guidance program. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection techniques using a transferable skills questionnaire. The sample for this study amounted to 222 students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Education, Makassar State University. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling The results of this study indicate that the description of transferable skills of students of the Faculty of Education, Makassar State University, is in the high category, with an average value in the aspect of communication skills (CS) of 27.086, the aspect of management skills (MS) of 33.775, the aspect of numerical skills (NS) of 18.869, the aspect of creativity skills (CRS) of 21.617, the aspect of social skills of 20.167, the aspect of critical thinking of 15.252, and the aspect of business skills of 20.536. So that from these results, transferable skills of students can be the basis for the development of generation Z career guidance programs and an effort to successfully transition from education to the world of work.

This study aimed to determine students' perceptions of learning difficulties in fungi material. This research method is qualitative, the population of this research is all students, totaling 199 people. The subjects of this study were students of class X MA Negeri 1 Indramayu for the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 67 people. The instruments used were questionnaires, field notes, and interviews. The sampling technique used is random. Data analysis used the Likert scale and percentage technique (%). The results showed that the average learning difficulties of class X students at MA Negeri 1 Indramayu were generally in the very high category with a percentage of 28.5% and 71.5% with low learning difficulties. The biggest factor causing learning difficulties comes from internal factors, namely interest and motivation indicators 70.83% (low), readiness and attention 72.08% (low). Followed by external factors, namely the school environment 73.75% (low).
Social decision making skill is the ability to control self to be not easily influenced by social stimulus. This skill operated by using decision making steps include identifying problem, gathering information, doing verification, deciding alternatives solution, and choosing the best solution. Peningkatan Keterampilan Pengambilan Keputusan dan Penguasaan Konsep IPA melalui Model Pembelajaran Advance Organizer di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan dan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa sebagai dampak dari implementasi model Advance Organizer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Non equivalent (Pre-Test and Post- Test) Control Groups Design. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V pada SD Negeri 1 dan 2 Kalitinggar Kabupaten Purbalingga, sebanyak 32 orang. Respiratory therapists evaluate the condition of their patients, make decisions about the appropriateness of the treatment plan, provide care, and evaluate the outcomes of their decisions. To practice effectively they must think critically and make appropriate decisions. As educators make curriculum changes to improve students' decision-making (DM) skills, strategies to develop critical thinking (CT) have been proposed as one method of achieving that goal. This approach is based on the hypothesis that a positive relationship exists between DM and CT. The present study examines the relationship between CT and DM in respiratory care students. If there is a positive relationship between CT and DM, respiratory care training programs might improve the DM skills of future practitioners by providing instruction that improves CT.
Using a correlational research design, DM scores from the Clinical Simulation Self-Assessment Examination (CSSAE) were compared with scores from the Watson-Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal for 143 graduating respiratory care students from 10 programs. Program directors completed a questionnaire and were then interviewed about the methods they employ to develop CT and DM in their students.
A significant correlation between CT and DM was found for 110 students completing the Secure Form of the CSSAE (r = 0.32, p < 0.01). All programs used case studies and clinical simulations, and most used role modeling, computer-assisted instruction, patient rounds, small group discussion, and study skills courses. No differences were identified in the use of the CT and DM development strategies by different programs.
The findings support the belief that students with strong CT proficiency make better clinical decisions. Assessment of CT proficiency could be used as one part of a process for evaluating prospective students and faculty for respiratory care programs. Program directors and faculty felt that case studies and clinical simulations are important strategies.
