1. INTRODUCTION
Amidst the enormous innovation engaged in
information and correspondence technology which
influences numerous parts of life on planet particularly
the presence of internet, web 2.0, web based life and
development in the communication procedure, all that
directly and indirectly impact the procedure
organizational management, [1]
Associations settle on key choices in modest
worldwide environment where advancement of
technology and methodological procedures are
essential in keeping up levels of competitiveness [2]
one of the most significant vital decision confronting
the administration in the present’s universally focused
condition incorporates technology improvement.
The more noteworthy organization’s technology
capabilities are, the more rapidly organizations will get
technology [3] and exploit other reciprocal assets
essential to giving firms the elevated stages of interior
kinds to importantly restructure old-style commercial
approach [4] In particular, the association must have
diverse innovative resources to face the zing of the
present educated society [5] Technology is in this way
a strategic mechanism that enhance collaboration,
correspondence, and trade of data and learning through
the appearance and appropriate utilization of devices
or resources that urge learning and data to stream more
quickly and spread more effectively all throughout the
association [6] It is also an application of knowledge
to the pragmatic points of people’s life or to transform
and oversee human condition. It assimilates the use of
supplies, gadgets, techniques, and wells of power to
make life simpler, progressively better, and to work
more efficiently. Although science is stressed over
how and why things occur, technology centres on
making things happen.
Ref [7] express that revolution ecosystem isn't yet an
obviously characterized idea and is frequently utilized
with an over-accentuation on market forces. Generally,
an innovation ecosystem contains two ecosystems, the

learning environment and the business biological
system.
Innovation plays a huge job in the technique of such
organizations, as it has been demonstrated these days
that all head technical organizations claim a major
piece of their prosperity to novelty items and new
concepts. The present successful software companies
should not only be inventive in handling technological
changes yet generally fit in investigating and
exploiting innovation to make fresh business capacities
in a savvy way, as to build incomes and accomplish
differentiation for the venture [8]
The Key factors behind quick pace of innovation
include quickly evolving technology, item’s shorter
life span, and changes in client necessity,
globalization, and ferocious competition. Considering
this circumstance, associations should be one of a kind,
products and services are needed to be guaranteed as
inventive to accomplish sustainable competitive
advantage [2]
Organizational performance and knowledge impact an
association's innovation, positively [9] having much
greater facility for development would help a firm in
the advancement race against contenders, along these
lines enhancing organizational performance. An
organization that supports inventive items, quality
procedures, or services might profit from new
innovation [10] A group's absorptive capacity
empowers a company to transform knowledge into a
new item, quality administration, services, or
procedures to help innovation [11] to create item
quality worth, associations ought to continue abilities
by filling new development into their activities, a
procedure that requires numerous capabilities and
skills [12] innovation is irreplaceable to contemporary
associations. An association's technology creation and
its capacity to recognize, share and apply learning
straightforwardly influence its competitive
advancement [2] Companies are frequently viewed as
a significant structure in the present’s information-
based economy [13] Accordingly, associations have
made noteworthy investments in executing
information management ability that is explicitly
intended to help the sharing of information
management among firm individuals in an association.
Information management ability, as to organizational
performance, might give an upper hand to firms. For
an association to accomplish a competitive advantage,
all functions must be interrelated.

incorporation just as exclusion criteria. Because of this
nature, the pursuit identified with methodical literature
study begins ordinarily from at least one known
wellsprings of information, and afterward dependent
on the accessible information and data from the current
existing results further wellsprings of information are
distinguished and pertinent information is acquired.
With regards to this paper, the greater part of the
sources (writing) is not earlier than 2015 and they are
from worldwide journals. Though in some cases, some
old literature is utilized to depict fundamental ideas
and speculations.
A deliberate writing review recognizes, picks, and in a
general sense surveys research so as to address an
unmistakably itemized request. The methodical review
should seek after an undeniably portrayed show or plan
where criteria are obviously expressed before the study
is led. It is a sweeping, direct request drove over
various databases and dim writing that can be rehashed
and reproduced by various analysts. It includes
assembling a very much deliberated search strategy
which has a specific fixation or answers a portrayed
request. It distinguishes the kind of data seen,
investigated, and revealed inside identified time
allocations. The search terms, methodologies (with
database names, stages, and dates), restraints and
everything should be remembered for the review.

3.2.Study objectives
The goal of this examination is to locate the significant
modern technology that impacts organizational
management by analyzing the numerous literatures
that are related to the key words that are cited in the
abstract of the study.
4. Literature Review
Ref [14] stated that while the improvement of new
supportable technologies like IOT, web, 2.0, industry
4.0 is significant for tending to the atmosphere and
natural difficulties defying society, such innovations
face critical obstacles, not the least since inescapable
tools, will in general be intertwined with prevailing
business models, value stores, business norms, also
organizations.
Ref [15] claims that innovation in technology like IOT,
web, 2.0, industry 4.0 is a key factor in technology
creation and in sustaining an association's competitive
advantage, which in turn enhances its overall work.
Innovation empowers firms to shield themselves from
exceptionally uncertain, unsteady situations,
consequently making them progressively equipped for
seeking new chances and proficiently exploiting
existing ones.)
Ref [16] argued that innovation in technology for
example BI,AI, social media and Big Data is an
elevated market rivalry, the effective administration of
progress is essential to firm survival and achievement.
Quality improvement and innovation have in this way
become built up techniques as firms look to make and
safeguard their competitive position.)
Ref [17] argued that quality improvement and
innovation technology which include (informal
community, BI, and web 2.0) are the focal ideas of new
types of financial hypothesis of the firm and models of
business conduct.
Ref [18] pointed out that with innovation technology
such as BI, the management process lead to quality
enhancement that is an essential part and a key variable
used in the exceptionally competitive international
ventures.
Ref [19] remarks that organizations can't stand to leave
innovation to risk. Or maybe, management is
constrained by market weights to help innovation
activity deliberately.
Ref [20] indicated that innovation performance
increases the capability and productivity of
organizational procedure such as hardware, software,
database, human asset, correspondence.
Ref [21] indicated that AI as technology and legitimate
control prompts a significant change in the realm of
work. From a single perspective, AI frameworks bid
enterprises a broad range of selections for creating
forms progressively productive and practical.
Ref [22] showed that appropriate AI innovations and
capacities for strong use case and new types of human-
machine interaction stand up to enterprises with
extraordinary challenges as AI structures require a mix
of its various kinds to produce timely decision and
customized requirements.
Ref [23] stated that the blend of technology innovation
system cause the venture to turn into study and
innovative investment, the fundamental body of
technological innovation exercises, development
application. China's farming and agrarian apparatus are
in the advancement stage.
Ref [24] stated that innovation-driven change
development participation to enhance the agricultural
science and technology development capacity,
manufacture imaginative outcomes, and advance the
advancement of industry.
Ref [25] indicated that giving savvy/advanced services
in an item service framework is important to
comprehend the three measurements of innovation
driven assistance development: service environment,
platform, and worth co-creation. Additionally
appeared in his paper that an endeavor to utilize a
particular structure to address how OEMs, service
sources, scheme integrators, and software or
programming companies can contend and cooperate
towards business facility and invention, by helping
them see how to plan simple applications just as more
intelligent platforms that help product service
atmospheres. The capacity to make commitment (co-
creation, network with forms, open structure
environment, and extra amenities) was seen as key to
the advancement of increasingly shrewd framework.
As well as they pointed out the client's kin and culture
to comprehend IOT technologies. The SD rationale
utilization clarifies technology-based facility
development in assembling organizations is unique. It
speaks to the significant commitment to improve
producing company’s service business.
Ref [26] shows a statically significant positive
association between online social networks and
innovation capacity, and that online social network and
company performance is completely intervened by

incorporating large information and co-development
must be considered, to change organizational
procedures, systems, application, strategies, and even
schedules, will request time. A short-term way to deal
with the advancement of this capacity demolishes the
potential it has for worthy conception and sustainable
upper hand.
Ref [30] aim the information trading and analysis
outcomes with providers and clients are vital for co-
development. Its simplicity of data access, use, and
administration of mechanical stage has an immediate
association with the results of co-innovation process
since it can encourage or prevent cooperative work,
and reinforce or break the relations and responsibilities
of on-screen characters since they have a place with a
network where it is basic to accomplish value co-
creation. Underlines that Knowledge Management and
IA abilities improve coalition ambidexterity
performance. In such manner, in the direct model we
discover that organizations with predominant KM
abilities accomplish better coalition ability
performance, in any case, when the indirect impacts
are incorporated these prevail.
Ref [31] argued that the accomplishment of ability to
use both hands through coalitions in IOT Smart City
ventures does in fact require firm techniques to
internally make ICT abilities. At the project level, this
enables the organization to exploit both inner and outer
knowledge. In our study, MNEs working through
coalition in Smart Cities advantage extraordinarily
from the interplay between KM and ICT capacities,
most likely because of the quirks and qualities of these
innovative projects.
Ref [32] emphasized that smallholders are basically
reacting to the motivations and restrictions natural to
social and monetary conditions. Without useful
institutional systems that counterbalance these
exchange outlays, the shirking of precisely high-
performing technologies by most of them preceded
with dependence on provision-oriented animal
agriculture rehearses appears to be a reasonable
decision.
Ref [33] inferred that the help of top management
influence modernization (product and process
innovation). Besides, the outcomes demonstrated that
top administration bolster influences the collaboration
between organizational configuration and information
technology. It was additionally discovered that
teamwork between the two sway modernism. At long
last, the examination uncovered that the participation
between organizational structure and process
innovation doesn't intercede the impact of top
administration support in modernization.
Ref [34] emphasized that difficulties and potential in
the innovation process. An underlying guide was along
these lines filled by doling out the measures to the
fields of activity and prioritizing them after some time,
more item assortment and customization is solid.
Because of this improvement, the need of spry and
reconfigurable production systems developed.
Ref [35] indicate that mobile telecommunication
companies in Jordan give cautious attention regarding
innovation related exercises; they center on presenting
new item and services and upgrading their managerial
systems. This likewise mirrors the harsh competition
that exists in this part in Jordan. Moreover, the
outcomes demonstrated a beneficial outcome of
organizational culture, human asset, information
technology and physical environment on innovation;
though no measurably critical impact was found of
organizational structure on innovation.
Ref [36] argued that firms profit by either low degrees
of diversification because of efficiencies in preparing
innovation knowledge, or from high degrees of
diversification because of access to wide information
management capacities that encourage the taking care
of complex issues and the capacity to coordinate a firm
along various direction. The utilization of comparative
analyses can effectively distinguish conditions that are
satisfactory for fruitful organizational performance
results. Just as discoveries give valuable experiences
into how firms' individuals should strengthen their
collaborative practices and exercises to upgrade their
competitive advantages.
Ref [37] show that social networking changes quickly,
the capacity to increase a short-term competitive
advantage relies upon the assortment of data first,
trailed by maybe a more extended term centered
market direction strategy to build up an eco-system
that incorporates associations with inward and outer
partners. Also, the discoveries show that both receptive
and preemptive market directions assume constructive
jobs in brand revolution profundity via web-based
networking media.
Ref [38] emphasized that innovation technology
enhance the balance of offer and request. Straightening
of association and quick data conductions that
empower official and general proficiency are
extraordinarily enriched, and various produces of
coordinated effort brought a specific impact.
Contrasted current market environment, distribution of
data assets, and even correspondence system
extraordinarily lessens the operation expenses.
Ref [39] stated that vast information analysis gives
great database and technical support for the outsider
credit appraisal of cargo transportation activities.
Ref [40] discoveries show that innovation technology
encourages the production of open and collaborative
environment, and the use of inside and outside
progressions of information, through the improvement
of interior knowledge management capacity, which
thusly expands innovation capacity.
Ref [41] highlighted that IOT can give associations
with numerous potential advantages; in any case,
associations ought to understand that accomplishing
these advantages conveys possibly startling dangers
and, as recommended by the dichotomy of technology,
acquaints deviations with the association and system.
Ref [42] stressed that innovation will assume a job in
there going for the motivations behind filling holes in
organizational information, upgrading the

1187
synchronization of association administration hard
work, and completing SMEs. Subsequent stages and
suggestions are likewise given on how ICT
developments be executed to improve the participation
and coordination of regional asset management
endeavors.
Ref [43] stated that big data can deliver more
prominent advantages particularly, adding to create
timely and more efficient decisions. This will empower
better and convenient choices in unique workplaces,
for example, projects.
Ref [44] underscored that web 2.0, innovation
capacity, and organizational wisdom adds to the
premeditated administration field by proposing a
clarification of distinctions in firm execution inside a
specific industry, and their frames of mind and stance
all through the procedure of successfully actualizing
practices or methods for learning within associations.
Ref [45] argued that BI systems’ viability somewhat
intervenes the effect of organizational approach,
structure, course and culture on its effectiveness.
Ref [46] discovers that operational and key BI abilities
ought to be considered independently and that
associations may get able to use both hands in BI
capacities similarly they can get able to use both hands
in their way to deal with organizational education. It
propels the observation that commercial esteem is
produced from BI resources by means of operational
and key systems, in the light of two symmetrical
arrangements of respective capacities. This twofold
way to deal with BI value models embodies the
following stage in its advancement.
Ref [47] stated that BI infrastructure improves BI
performance; performance thus upgrades performance
measurement capability (including indirectly through
BI self-administration); and execution estimation
capacity at last upgrades competitive advantage.
Ref [48] Showed that internet of things is significant
for the logistics and transport area in the association,
likewise can give operational information on the area
and observing of the state of things. With this data, it
is conceivable to improve client care by shortening the
cycle of logistics forms and better their expense.
Ref [49] accentuated that IOT applications are
probably going to assume a significant job for
invigorating technical rejuvenations inside business
firms. The major consequence of this market-based
methodology is a reasonable execution for companies’
client specialties opposing to scientific replacement.
Ref [50] mentioned that IOT may be another technical
challenge. The administration challenge isn't that fresh
from a systematical point of view. There are a few
strategic and operational challenges. These challenges
can be experienced through a holistic, coordinated and
interdisciplinary view on all components.
Ref [51] stated that implementing web 2.0
technologies for public administration representatives’
use would better help decision makers.
Ref [52] brought up that Web 2.0 encourage another
type of development co-innovation in the
organizational management process through
improving access to reports, documents, webpages,
messages, store personal information and making new
bits of knowledge to captivate decision making
fashion.
Ref [53] they found that building up a Web 2.0
technique, giving required assets to such training,
perceiving and empowering adopters, and including
administrators in the appropriation.
Ref [54] mentioned that Web 2.0 assumes a
multifaceted job for corresponding, teaming up,
sharing and managing information. Web 2.0 empowers
another model of Personal Knowledge Management
(PKM) which incorporates formal and casual
communication, matched effort and social networking
apparatuses.
Ref [44] stated that bosses must execute web 2.0
practices to grow new items or services by doing
certain effects on innovation execution
Ref [55] states the finding that underline wide-ranging
economic paybacks in IOT business process to
growing sales volumes and subsiding costs with regard
to financial resources and viability.
Ref [56] the outcomes show that positive Industry 4.0
execution drives strategic and operational
management, just as environment and social open
opportunities lead to improving organizational
production and management.
Ref [55] the finding that underlines wide-ranging
money-related advantages as far as IOT in business
procedure to growing sales volumes and diminishing
expenses, as to monetary assets and profitability.
5. Discussion and analysis
Contemporary systems are developing association
between its information schemes and capacities.
Modifications in techniques, rules, and business forms
progressively involve changes in hardware, software,
database, and telephones. Regularly, what association
might want relies upon what its systems will allow
them to do.
After evaluation 50 literatures under study that has

... Within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, most sects of business operations including soleproprietorship, partnership and companies adopt a business culture that seeks to thrive for the profitability and sustainability of their businesses (Comin et al., 2020). In a contemporary business environment, family businesses are one of the most cherished business operations supported their operations with technology can survive industry rivalry, customer convenience and business profitability (Zeebaree Sattar, Aqel, Qader, & Zebari, 2020). While businesses within developing countries lack openness to change and the desire to adopt modern technological resources (Skare & Soriano, 2021), businesses in developed countries continuously depend on technology to enhance their business operations (Skare & Soriano, 2021). ...

Purpose Family businesses are on the rise and facing severe sustainability challenges. The overall purpose of this thesis is to examine the moderating role of technological resources in the relationship between marketing innovation and family business sustainability. Design/methodology/approach From a post-positivist perspective, this study utilized a quantitative approach and causal research design. 204 family businesses within the Accra Metropolitan Assembly were sampled for this study. Structural Equation Modeling (SMART PLS 4) was utilized for data analysis after a closed-ended questionnaire was used to gather data. Findings It was evidenced that marketing innovation has a positive significant effect on family business sustainability. Technological resources have a negative significant moderating effect on the relationship between marketing innovation and family business sustainability. Originality/value The originality of this study lies in examining the moderating effect of technological resources on the relationship between marketing innovation and family business sustainability in Ghana, where this phenomenon is less explored.
... Improved service levels for SMEs can result from effective coordination and collaboration between the various organizations involved in the supply chain. However, SMEs may find it challenging to implement supply chain integration due to the high cost of information technology, which will subsequently limit their ability to reach higher levels of coordination and collaboration [58][59][60]. ...

Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are more adaptable because of their size and straightforward structure; they will be better able to take advantage of changes and innovation. SMEs are common in the nation and have significantly increased Pakistan’s GDP. To achieve and guarantee these SMEs’ effective performance, they must improve the quality of their services. For this reason, the current study has looked into the significance of Supply Chain Integration (SCI). The present research has adopted a “quantitative research design” to conduct the study. Concerning the research framework, the independent variable is supplying chain logistic issues that impact SME service quality through the mediation of supply chain integration. There are two methods adopted for the data analysis. Firstly, the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) is employed for the demographic outcomes. Secondly, regression, reliability and validity analysis are carried through the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of the study indicated the six linkages. Firstly, the association of High Cost of Information Technology (HCI) positively impacts Coordination and collaboration. Secondly, Quality Logistic Personnel (QLP) is positively and significantly associated with Commitment and competence. Thirdly, HCI indicated a positive link with Coordination and collaboration. Fourthly, QLP expresses a positive and significant relationship with Coordination and collaboration. Fifthly, QLP demonstrated a positive and significant association with Creativeness and customisation. Finally, QLP showed insignificant negative results with Coordination and collaboration. The present study holds greater significance in this regard. The study provides valuable insights to the employees or workforce of SME businesses to supervise or rationally monitor their supply chain performance. The service quality of SMEs has been measured through commitment and competence, creativity and customization, and coordination & collaboration of sales logistic personnel.

Online banking services have emerged as pivotal drivers of customer satisfaction and sustainable development. However, the mediating role of customer experience in linking online banking service clues to satisfaction remains underexplored. Grounded in Haeckel’s model, this study examines how functional (technical execution), mechanic (interface usability), and humanic (behavioral interactions) service clues shape satisfaction among 400 individual and corporate online banking users in Northern Cyprus, analyzed via Structural Equation Modelling. By framing age and occupation as proxies for risk aversion and post-crisis distrust—key barriers in Cyprus’s banking sector—this study advances regionally tailored strategies for sustainable digital adoption. The results reveal functional clues positively impacted satisfaction only for individual customers, while mechanic clues enhanced satisfaction across both groups, contributing to sustainable development. Humanic clues showed no significant effect. Although online service clues improved overall customer experience, a key corporate social responsibility, this experience did not mediate the clue–satisfaction relationship. Demographic factors (e.g., age, user type) moderated these dynamics. These findings underscore the importance of prioritizing mechanic and functional clues in digital banking interfaces to bolster satisfaction and align with sustainable development goals. This study advances Haeckel’s theory in digital contexts and offers actionable insights for banks seeking to balance technological innovation with customer centricity.
Chapter
Emerging technologies are envisioned to advance the accounting profession to a new level. The emergence of big data, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation has profoundly impacted traditional accounting and auditor tasks and procedures. This chapter focuses on a new technology that has recently emerged in business operations: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or “drones”. This chapter is intended to highlight the role of drones in current accounting practices as well as future opportunities for exploiting the unique capabilities of drones in the accounting profession. In this domain, the potential of utilizing drones in the accounting profession in the areas related to inventory management, revenue recognition, cash flow management, and risk management is presented. However, applying this technology in this domain faces several implementation challenges, which are highlighted and discussed in this chapter. The significance of this chapter stems from the fact that very limited research has been conducted in this area in the accounting literature. This chapter provides a visionary framework that links the asymmetric information dilemma with the utilization of drones in the accounting profession.

The Internet of Things (IoT) might yield many benefits for organizations, but like other technology adoptions may also introduce unforeseen risks and requiring substantial organizational transformations. This paper analyzes IoT adoption by organizations, and identifies IoT benefits and risks. A Big, Open, Linked Data (BOLD) categorization of the expected benefits and risks of IoT is made by conducting a comprehensive literature study. In-depth case studies in the field of asset management were then executed to examine the actual experienced, real world benefits and risks. The duality of technology is used as our theoretical lens to understand the interactions between organization and technology. The results confirm the duality that gaining the benefits of IoT in asset management produces unexpected social changes that lead to structural transformation of the organization. IoT can provide organizations with many benefits, after having dealt with unexpected risks and making the necessary organizational changes. There is a need to introduce changes to the organization, processes and systems, to develop capabilities and ensure that IoT fits the organization's purposes.

Knowledge management plays a significant role in organizations; supporting organizations to deal effectively with changes, increasing their productivity and paving the way to development and innovation. Several scientific studies have addressed the relevance of applying knowledge management initiatives to improve projects as well as organizations that conduct projects. This paper will look at the interaction between knowledge management and big data within the context of projects. In this regard, this paper will discuss, among other things, (1) how big data can contribute to enhance knowledge management in projects and project-based organizations (2) what kind of pitfalls, challenges and opportunities that are associated with the interplay between knowledge management and big data (3) how this interplay can improve projects so that the projects can be carried out effectively and efficiently. These three questions are addressed by taking into consideration some of the important, underlying issues that are essential for ensuring improved decision making and performance in projects and project-based organizations.

The implementation of Industry 4.0 has a far-reaching impact on industrial value creation. Studies on its opportunities and challenges for companies are still scarce. However, the high practical and theoretical relevance of digital and connected manufacturing technologies implies that it is essential to understand the underlying dynamics of their implementation. Thus, this study examines the relevance of Industry 4.0-related opportunities and challenges as drivers for Industry 4.0 implementation in the context of sustainability, taking a differentiated perspective on varying company sizes, industry sectors, and the company’s role as an Industry 4.0 provider or user. A research model comprising relevant Industry 4.0-related opportunities and challenges as antecedents for its implementation is hypothesized. In order to test the model, partial least square structural equation modeling is applied for a sample of 746 German manufacturing companies from five industry sectors. The results show that strategic, operational, as well as environmental and social opportunities are positive drivers of Industry 4.0 implementation, whereas challenges with regard to competitiveness and future viability as well as organizational and production fit impede its progress. Moreover, it is shown that the perception of Industry 4.0-related opportunities and challenges as antecedents to Industry 4.0 implementation depends on different company characteristics.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) poses several implications on manufacturers in terms of economic, ecological, and social aspects referring to the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) of sustainable value creation. Due to its technical core, the current research focused on its technical fundamentals, whereas the economic discussion is still in its infancy. This paper aims at painting a comprehensive and structured picture of IIoT-related economic, ecological, and social benefits and challenges. For this purpose, we employ an exploratory multiple case study approach based on semi-structured expert interviews in 46 manufacturing companies from three leading German industries. Our study contributes to the sparse body of scientific IIoT literature by analysing the IIoT’s implications according to the TBL. We show that, in order to qualify for sustainable industrial value creation, the IIoT requires an extension of the established TBL by three further dimensions, i.e., technical integration, data and information, and public context.

Quality-orientated management change and innovation are central strategies for firms. Implementing both quality improvement and innovation poses significant managerial, organisational and technical challenges, and may also involve significant lags before benefits are realised. Here, using data on a large group of Irish manufacturing plants and econometric analysis, we establish the short- and longer-term influence of plants’ adoption of quality improvement methods (QIMs) on product innovation performance. Our study highlights the short-term disruptive and longer-term beneficial effects of QIM adoption on product innovation performance. In addition, we find evidence of complementarities and learning-by-using effects from QIM adoption. Our results suggest that maximising the returns to innovation and quality improvement requires consideration of the soft and/or hard nature of individual QIMs and the timing and sequencing of their adoption.

The failure of the majority of smallholder farmers in Ethiopia to take advantage of agricultural technologies and economic opportunities in the livestock sector remains an unresolved puzzle. This paper assesses the role of economic, social, political and organizational processes on technology adoption in smallholder livestock production systems based on innovation systems perspective. Functions of the innovation systems framework was used to assess the missing links in the dairy sector value chains. The results show that weak or missing innovation systems functions such as entrepreneurship, knowledge diffusion, market development, and policy advocacy mirror the low uptake of improved technologies in the livestock sector. Shortage of domestic suppliers of key technological inputs and services, weak input and output markets and weak interaction among value chain actors have been the major hindrances to livestock development. For example, there were no reliable sources of improved breeds of dairy heifers, veterinary supplies, quality semen, and equipment. The results suggest that technical knowledge and availability of economic opportunities alone may not be enough to stimulate the uptake of technologies and commercialization of dairy production. The peculiar nature of inputs, services, and output in the livestock sector requires innovative business models that can facilitate the coordination of knowledge, skills, inputs, services and output markets in livestock value chains.

Big Data has emerged recently as a new digital paradigm, one that companies adopts in order to both transform existing business models and nurture their innovation activity. The peculiarities of Big Data applications span different fields such as customer need identification, risk management and decision-making, data-driven knowledge, product and service design, quality management, and opportunity recognition and creation. However, while these have resulted in the emergence of a rich research domain focusing on the managerial and practical implications typically addressed from the user perspective, there is still a lack of complete understanding of how companies that provide Big Data solutions can create and capture value from them. This paper explores the question of how provider companies create and capture value from Big Data, drawing on a multiple-case study analysis of provider companies that offer solutions and services based on Big Data. The results illustrate a theoretical framework on value creation and capture by relying on Big Data and identify two main innovation service strategies based on Big Data used by provider companies. In addition, this paper provides valuable insights as to how the network of involved stakeholders influences the design and implementation of the innovation service strategy by the provider companies.

Advances in Business Analytics in the era of Big Data have provided unprecedented opportunities for organizations to innovate. With insights gained from Business Analytics, companies are able to develop new or improved products/services. However, few studies have investigated the mechanism through which Business Analytics contributes to a firm's innovation success. This research aims to address this gap by theoretically and empirically investigating the relationship between Business Analytics and innovation. To achieve this aim, absorptive capacity theory is used as a theoretical lens to inform the development of a research model. Absorptive capacity theory refers to a firm's ability to recognize the value of new, external information, assimilate it and apply it to commercial ends. The research model covers the use of Business Analytics, environmental scanning, data-driven culture, innovation (new product newness and meaningfulness), and competitive advantage. The research model is tested through a questionnaire survey of 218 UK businesses. The results suggest that Business Analytics directly improves environmental scanning which in turn helps to enhance a company's innovation. Business Analytics also directly enhances data-driven culture that in turn impacts on environmental scanning. Data-driven culture plays another important role by moderating the effect of environmental scanning on new product meaningfulness. The findings demonstrate the positive impact of business analytics on innovation and the pivotal roles of environmental scanning and data-driven culture. Organizations wishing to realize the potential of Business Analytics thus need changes in both their external and internal focus.

This paper identifies the main factors for Europe’s delays in embracing the growth enhancing effects of digital technologies. With mostly intangible goods or services, digital technologies are different from the tangible world of the traditional manufacturing industry, and hence related policy may have to be different as well. The scope for market failures is explored, including externalities from knowledge spillovers, cybersecurity and first mover advantages and the possibly role for policies and public support is discussed.
