Zinc poisoning has been reported from many parts of the world. It is one of the global health problems that affect many organs if consume or expose by inhalation of zinc vapors or zinccontaminated water and food. Long term exposure to zinc compounds from different sources such as; air, water, soil, and food lead to toxic effects on body systems especially digestive, respiratory, and nerve systems and also causes cancer. Zinc levels can be determined in blood, urine, hair and nails. Patients with zinc toxicity need chelating agents, other pharmacological treatment, protective lung ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and supportive cares.

German nonmedical professionals use the ‘CaEDTA push’ as promoted by US web pages, although this is against standard protocol. CaEDTA has been FDA- approved for lead intoxication only, and Na2EDTA has not been approved for the treatment of cardiovascular disease. These facts are often overlooked. Misunderstandings increase the risk of iatrogenic accidents. This information aims to prevent this.

The synthesized cadmium sulfide nano particles are observed to be a mixture of cubic and hexagonal phases and have crystallite size and surface area of 3.7, 6.8 and 13.9 nm and 32.11, 29.54 and 8.63 m2/g for thioglycolic acid, potassium pyrosulfate and EDTA capping agents, respectively. As expected, the photo-catalytic efficiency of nano-particles for degradation of dyes is observed to increase with increase in surface area (decrease in particulate size).

Where the yield of bound EPS shows fewer amounts from free EPS, the amount of bound EPS was 29.22±1.40, 21.18±0.90 and 17.10±1.10 mg g-1 dry cell for LB, LBG 0.5 and LBG 1 respectively.

The effects of individual detergent components of a standard detergent, including auxiliary chemicals, at four different temperatures were studied. [Show full abstract] pure soap flakes (sodium sterate) both decreased the conductivity of the coating at a rate exponentially proportional to the laundering temperature. Detergent types had an influence over the rate of degradation; pH conditions had a large influence on the rate of polymer deterioration with the acidic nonionic detergent giving rise to significantly improved laundering conditions. The auxiliary chemicals, sodium carbonate and sodium perborate were seen to cause large degradation of polymers during laundering. Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid was seen to have only a slight influence on the reduction of conductivity of polymers.

Salmonella strains were isolated and grouped further according to their drugs sensitivity. 3ml venous blood was collected from these patients in Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid container and blood complete count was done by semiautomated haematology analyser XP-100. Results: There were 126 (73%) males and 46 (27%) females with mean age of 17.5 ± 10.3 years. Out of 172 subjects, 106 (61.6%) had non-resistant typhoid and rest 66 (38.4%) were diagnosed with extended drug resistant Typhoid. We compared anaemia, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia between two groups and found anaemia statistically significant with the p-value of 0.001. Conclusion: This study has documented that changes in haematological parameters are significant in typhoid fever and early patients diagnosis, management and disease course can be monitored with them. Patients with significant anaemia and not responding to first line therapy should be considered as a case of extended drug resistant (XDR) Salmonella.

So, this study aimed to compare the ESR values of the two commonly used anticoagulants in patients with psychiatric illness. Material And Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted in a tertiary care psychiatric institute of North-East, India during the period of October to December, 2023. A total 100 samples were collected from admitted patients of 25 - 60 years of age with psychiatric illness. Samples were collected in Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid (EDTA) and Trisodium Citrate (TSC) anticoagulated vials to determine and compare Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) by using Westergren method. In this study ESR obtained from bl Results: ood anticoagulated with EDTA shows higher value than the blood anticoagulated with TSC with a mean value of 34.83 mm/hour in EDTA anticoagulated blood as compared to the mean value of 28.14 mm/hour in TSC anticoagulated blood. [Show full abstract] to provide a method for preventing the recurrence of these stones in the patient that has suffered from salivary stones. Our study comprised 30 patients with recurrent salivary gland stones (group I) and 30 patients with salivary gland stones for the first time (group II), in addition to 30 normal controls (group III). We could detect 100–500 nm nanoparticles in 24/30 (80%) cases in group I with significant difference <0.05 and <0.01 when compared with group II and group III in which they were detected in 19/30 (63.3%) and 6/30 (20%) respectively. Also there was a significant difference <0.05 between group II and group III. We proposed that salivary stone formation is a nanobacterial disease initiated by bacterial infection. This bacteria may play an important role in the recurrence of salivary stone. So the use of calcium chelator, ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (EDTA), before or in combination with the suitable antibiotic that is given in an amount effective to inhibit or prevent the growth and development of nanobacteria may eradicate these stones and prevent their recurrence. nanobacteria, salivary stones
