A study has been made of the absorption and translocation of carbonyl-C14-labeled 3-(p-chlorophenyl)-l,1-dimethylurea (CMU) by bean plants. One of the compounds was identified as unchanged CMU and the other was an unknown radioactive CMU complex. The concentration of CMU in the leaf extract decreases with time, while a corresponding increase occurs in the concentration of the CMU complex.
