Abstract—Education is a must for all. People of all classes need
education for improving their condition in a minimum way. After
the Covid-19 situation, there will be a huge chance in the dropout
rate. There are many surveys on processing regarding this issue.
For lower and middle-income countries, the rate is so high and
due to this issue, any country may face a big problem. In this
paper, the goal is to encourage the dropout students to join the
school for a full free service. The service consists of the latest
education system like online class, or offline class etc.
I. INTRODUCTION
Education, most probably, is the highest affected sector
that is facing challenges due to Covid-19. Surveys suggest
that the post-pandemic world will experience an extremely
high dropout rate. In a webinar organized by SANEM, It was
reported that nearly 30% of students will not be able to return
to school after this pandemic [1]. Again we see in a report of
Dhaka Tribune that more than 45% of students of secondary
level may not return to school after the lockdown [2]. A report
of Save the Children mentioned that there are 28 countries,
including Bangladesh, where children are at moderate or high
risk of drop out [3]. So an increase in dropout rate will be
a major problem after the Covid-19 situation. Thus Covid-19
puts the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of ensuring
quality education for all by 2030 at high risk.
As we know Education is the backbone of a nation, so we
cannot expect to develop our society or overcome the loss of
society due to Covid-19 by leaving behind a large group of
drop out students. Education is the root of every solution. So,
Our idea is to bring the school to those who won’t be able
to come to schools after the pandemic. As a result, the drop
out children will not be deprived of education. They will get
the chance to be educated through our Bhrammaman School
without even going to the formal school. Through this idea,
quality education can be ensured. To complete this huge task
within a proper timeline, it’s important to integrate technology
in the education sector. We are trying to ensure high-quality
education and job-specific vocational training to the remotest
’left out’ community by going to their doorstep with our
’Bhrammaman School’ or mobile school. Finest educators
can teach our students by using an online platform or pre-
recorded video class. This opportunity can be created with
just a laptop, projector and pen drive packed up in a minibus
that has ’Bhrammaman School’ imprinted in its front.
II. PRO BL EM STATE ME NT
In the post Covid-19 situation, the dropout rate will increase
in a large amount in Bangladesh. It is because Covid-19 will
impact badly on the economic condition of our people and for
this, a huge group of parents will not send their children back
to school. Not only the lower-income families will face it, but
also the middle-income families will get the same experience.
Rather they will involve their children in work with them only
to earn their livelihood. For these reasons, a large group of
children will not get the opportunity to return to school after
Covid-19. This problem will also create hindrance in achieving
one of the goals of SDG which is ensuring quality education
for all. As many children will be deprived of education for
the problem, so the development of the country will also get
slower. So we see that the drop out problem will generate a
lot of worst consequences.
III. PROP OS ED SOLUTION
After the pandemic poverty level will rise at such a rate
that many parents will not send their children to school again.
Rather, for managing daily livelihood, they will engage even
their children in work with them. So we have decided to solve
the problem through our “Bhrammaman School” or “Mobile
School”. That means, as students will not come to schools, so,
schools will go to them. The possible solution for this problem
is given below along with the execution diagram (Fig. 1).
A. Plan and research about the education of rural areas
We will identify the areas where students have stopped
coming to schools. Pursue expert teachers: We will arrange
the best teachers in the country by assuring the teachers a
good salary.
B. Give encouragement
We cannot ignore the fact that even if we will bring schools
to them, they may not be interested to join it. So we will
arrange one meal per day for those who attend the schools.
We will also arrange some stipends for them also. We will
bring lucrative offers to them so that they feel interested to
come forward to learn.
C. Send Bhrammaman Mini Bus
Bhrammaman Mini Bus will actually play the role of our
Bhrammaman School. We will send this Mobile School to the
selected areas. The Bhrammaman School will teach every 2
days on a weekly basis. In this way, one single Bhrammaman
School can provide teaching to 3 different areas in one week.
D. Arrange necessary technology
In a Bhrammaman School, there will be a set up consisting
of a Minibus just like the Bhrammaman library of Bishwo
Shahitto Kendro, a projector, a laptop, a pendrive.
E. Arrange classes
We will arrange online classes using the Zoom Platform.
In case of the network problems of any area, Bhrammaman
School will teach there through the pre-recorded videos of
classes.
Fig. 1. Flow diagram of our execution
F. SWOT Analysis
•Strengths: Pre-recorded class video by qualified teachers
and they can ensure the best answer from the question
of any student in live session. We encourage our students
by providing a mid-day meal.
•Weakness: We may take time to provide all the affected
areas of Bangladesh at a limited cost.
•Opportunities: There are so many opportunities like a)
increase literacy rate b) job opportunities c) improvement
of thinking power d) decrease of social crimes.
•Threats: First time, students may not be interested to
join Bhrammaman School.
Thus we can solve the drop out the problem easily. If not,
then we will again send Bhrammaman School to them. We
will focus on basic education and then vocational or technical
education. Point to be noted that only mainstream education
is not quality education, any type of education that will be
sustainable and have a good impact on society is quality
education in real sense.
IV. FUTURE OUT LO OK
By using our mentioned idea and solving the problem, in the
future we will experience many changes in our society which
are obviously positive in nature. A new environment will be
created in different sectors which will lead to the development
of our society. The future outlooks include:
•Increase of literacy rate: As we will provide basic
education alongside vocational and technical education
to a large group of children in the remotest rural areas
where previously maybe the only little scope of education
existed, so the literacy rate of our society will increase.
•Job opportunities: There will arise many job opportuni-
ties in those remote rural areas because we will provide
vocational and technical education besides basic educa-
tion. This may also give hope that the Government can
start to take initiative for decentralization in Bangladesh.
•Improvement of thinking power: Education will im-
prove the thinking power of the people and in future
becoming parents they will also take more initiative
to make their children educated. This will lead to an
Educated Society.
•Decrease of social crimes: Due to the increase of some
job opportunities, crimes like theft, robbery will decrease
eventually from society.
V. CONCLUSION
Our idea will induce a learning society where people are
educated and smart enough to earn their livelihood wisely.
But we may face challenges in taking our equipment safely
to the remotest rural areas. Sometimes financial problems may
be created. Apart from these challenges, our idea will generate
good impacts in our society and quality education will be
ensured.
