In this first contribution, the authors present the results of the study of samples of the
genus Conocybe collected in the area of the Balearic Islands (Spain), providing data on their macro- and microscopic features (accompanied by illustrations ), molecular biology, ecology and chorology of most of them. To the best of our knowledge, 3 appear to be new records for Spain, 7 for the Balearic Islands and 2 for the island of Eivissa. Additionally, some samples, object of previous publication, were also revised, both microscospically and molecularly, to confirm their previous determination or to rectify it and identify them correctly.
