Abstract

We have developed both the pneumatic-based and electric-based devices and simulated and studied the efficiency of both models. Both models are accurate but the pneumatic one is more accurate since it is easier and more controllable than the other. The control circuit for the electric device is more complicated than the pneumatic one's but as a whole system, the electric device is simpler since no additional parts are needed like the pneumatic one. Those additional parts which are used to control the pneumatic cylinder, make the pneumatic device more complex and heavier as well. From the power consumption point of view, the pneumatic device needs less power but it needs a compressed air source as well. The pneumatic device is less movable and cannot be used anywhere since it needs a compressed air source, which is available only in limited places. On the other hand, the electric model needs only 24 volts batteries where it makes the device work for nearly an hour and can be charged almost anywhere. As a conclusion, since the electric device is more movable and weigh less than the pneumatic one, it is the recommended one.
