This paper explores some new methods of ecological design for mountain area buildings, which emphasize the features of portability and space flexibility. Based on the analysis of Qinling Mountain’s special environment, some new design strategies are explored, such as the ‘movable wall ’to meet the needs of changeable space, the flexible joint of members to meet the needs of portable assembly.
