The paper The "animal" lexis as a component of the comparatum in Rev. Jan Twardowski's similes deals with the subject of similes considerably diverging from the full pattern, with an omitted element, the word order which is untypical of Polish and, first of all, with a strongly built segment of the comparatum. It exposes here the function and the way of expressing comparatum referring as a rule

The above analysis leads to pointing out linguistic and semantic aspects of Twardowski's poetry, as well as to drawing attention to breaking linguistic stereotypes and transgressing religious taboos.
