Po1ntless: The Reality behind Quantum Theory
... The focus has been on reductive analysis of ordinary sensory objectsprobing smaller time and distance scales and higher energy and temperature statestoward uncovering nature's bottom line. The full range of nature can be summarized as follows: 3,4 Ultra-macroscopic levels ~cosmic expanse to Infinity? Macroscopic levels ~10 -3 cm to ~cosmic expanse Microscopic levels ~10 -4 to ~10 -8 cm Ultra-microscopic levels ~10 -9 to ~10 -33 cm (Planck scale) Unified field level ~Infinitesimal point to Infinity? ...
... The results are macroscopic phenomena observed using the ordinary senses that are predicted by and dependent upon models of theorized deeper ultramicroscopic layers of nature not directly observable using our ordinary senses. 3 In physics, e.g., one prominent indirect method employs particle accelerators. The most powerful is the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN near Geneva, Switzerland, with the capability to probe to about 10 -19 cm. ...
... However, energy levels needed to probe the theorized smallest scales are still far greater even than the most powerful available instruments. 1,3 Another major indirect method is to search for remnants that may support predictions of events near the time of the theorized 'big bang.' These cosmological methods address ultra-macroscopic research on gravity and the shape of the cosmos, while particle accelerators mainly involve ultramicroscopic research. ...
Reason and experience are the generally accepted means to gain reliable knowledge. Objective principles of the scientific method that applies these means are first summarized. Then, its successes are briefly overviewed, as well as limitations revealed by its successes. For example, the principle of subject/object independence core to the scientific method is no longer adequate. Particle entanglement, nonlocality, and the observer's influence on measurement reveal deeper interdependence (and unified field theory would mean even universal interdependence). Further, limitations in mathematical logic (reason) and ordinary sensory perception (experience) as the scientific method has been practiced are now evident. With just a little deeper reflection, both reason and experience are recognized to be subjective mental processes. This points to the possibility of deeper levels of reason and direct empirical experience in the mind that can unify objective matter, energy, and information with subjective intelligence, mind, and consciousness.

Dualities are associated with binary logicinfinity/point, existence/intelligence, absolute/relative, simultaneity/sequence, space/time, energy/matter, ontology/epistemology, understanding/ experience, inward/outward, wave/particle, analogue/digital, bosons/fermions, heart/mind, attraction/repulsion, whole/part, holism/reductionism, structure/function, substance/form, subjective/objective, mind/body, yes/no, on/off, 1/0, and on and on. Conceptual dualities emerge in referral to the ultimate pointless, seamless non-dual Unity (Boyer, 2021(Boyer, , 2022a. That ultimate Unity of wholeness and all parts together is frequently referred to as Brahman in Vedic literature. ...

Abstract: Major progress in modern physics in the past century to more abstract, holistic theories extend the known range of nature-classical, quantum, quantum field, to unified field theories. Mind and consciousness are now also being examined-which is needed to include the full range. This paper introduces a completely holistic ancient model, with some detail on how contemporary models can map onto it to include the full range of nature. We 'll start with the simple 'ocean/wave' analogy to help clarify what a completely holistic account means. It also can help, as we proceed, with an intuitive sense of abstract quantum theories difficult to grasp even for many scientists.

... The chart below depicts this one-level model, generally accepted in mainstream modern science. Of major significance is that, in contrast to the three-level model described earlier as top-down, the one-level model is bottom-up, with the deepest, most inclusive levels on the bottom and theorized to be non-sentient, inherently randomly fluctuating energy fields (Boyer, 2008(Boyer, , 2021a. ...

... This would mean that real matter-mind interactions no longer constitute a logical 'category error. ' We also will consider core issues in QT including reductive/non-reductive, local/nonlocal, physical/nonphysical, matter/mind, and the relationship of QT to free will and consciousness [1]. Finally, the holistic interpretation will be identified using the criteria to distinguish interpretations in the Wikipedia entry "Interpretations of Quantum Mechanics" (accessed 2021): "deterministic?, ontic wavefunction?, unique history?, hidden variables?, collapsing wave functions?, observer role?, local dynamics?, counterfactually definite?, extant universal wavefunction?" ...
... Here are key points of the standard interpretation: 1) The quantum wavefunction is a mathematical equation representing change of an abstract probabilistic quantum 'object' or 'system' in mathematical field space; 2) the wavefunction represents evolution of a unitary 'quantum system' that must be taken as a whole before an observation, and there is no additional information due to randomness and uncertainty; 3) the wavefunction involves a fundamental complementarityand also wave-particle dualityin which complementary attributes cannot be measured precisely at the same time; 4) change involves physically unobservable discontinuous quantum jumps, indeterminate and probabilistic (most fundamentally in discrete multiples of Planck's constant); 5) when 'quantum objects' are in large numbers, statistical analyses yield the same results as measurements of ordinary classical physical objects; 6) the wavefunction instantaneously collapses to a classical real physical object with a conscious observation [1]. ...
... In this view, it would be fantasy to think an individual electron is heading to a TV screen to make a blip on it. Before observing a blip, the electron would be just a theoretical possibility or probabilistic mathematical quantum wavefunction as a tendency to exist [1]. ...
... 'Independent' ponderable objects in spacetime are built of the medium of spacetime itself. This is consistent with spacetime as not 'empty,' and with 'objects' as fluctuations of their underlying fields in quantum field theory (Boyer, 2018). Fortunately, we are now at the stage when a more integrated view of the inner mind and the outer natural world can be conceptualized and validated. ...
... Completely Unified field The final chart here speculates on layers within the three-level model-a nested hierarchy with the gross level permeated by the subtle level that includes levels of mind. It is drawn from ancient Vedic science and has been called the holistic 3-in-1 Vedic account (Boyer, 2018). ...
... Parts emerge from the whole, and then through increasing complexity the parts appear to unify-all along guided by the whole. This holistic model, called phenomenal emergence (Boyer, 2018), contrasts with epistemological emergence and ontological emergence approaches to mind and consciousness. In epistemological emergence, all things emerge from and, theoretically, are reducible to the physical. ...

This useful error is corrected thru unification and the destruction of the subject-object division at the highest samādhi state (i.e. at the 7 th state of consciousness as elaborated by MMY-Boyer in (Boyer, 2018).Ch.9.p315: "Unity consciousness (Brāhmī Chetana)-object and subject are one"). During meditation, consciousness/awareness is usually enhanced because of higher attention and concentration, which inter-dependently co-arises thru appropriate interactions between neural signals. Nāgārjuna rejects ‘inherent existence’ or ‘essence’ in favor of co-dependent origination (Pratītyasamutpāda, प्रतीत्यसमुत्पाद), and that is also why he rejects causality; the entities that lack inherent existence dependently co-arise. Causality is a major issue in metaphysical views. The goals of this article are as follows:
(I) Which entities lack ‘inherent existence’ or ‘essence’ and which ones inherently exist?
(II) Do the entities that lack inherent existence dependently co-arise and hence can we reject causality as in Nāgārjuna’s philosophy?
(III) Do the entities that exist inherently cause entities that lack inherent existence?
(IV) Do structure, function, experience, and environment cause each other? And
(V) We critically analyze, extend, and examine Nāgārjuna’s philosophy of dependent co-origination in the Inseparable Dual-Aspect Monism (IDAM) framework.
Our analysis suggests that:
(i) All conventional entities lack inherent existence, except the dual-aspect unmanifested state of primal entity (unified informational energy field (UIEF) or Brahman). The dual-aspect unmanifested state of UIEF has (a) physical unified informational energy field (PUIEF) as physical aspect and (b) unified potential consciousness informational energy field (UPC-IEF) as non-physical aspect. The subjective experiences (SEs) of objects and of the subject (self) are the excitations or modes of the UPCIEF, so they are derived entities and hence they lack inherent existence. The dual-aspect unmanifested state of UIEF is fundamental and irreducible and hence it inherently exists.
(ii) The entities that lack inherent existence dependently co-arise, and hence causality for them can be rejected but instead conditions (such as efficient, percept-object, immediate, and dominant conditions) might be necessary, as in Nāgārjuna’s philosophy. The first cause God and soul are not necessary, i.e., the atheist Buddhism (especially Theravāda view) is anātman (no soul) and Godless secular system, closer to science.
(iii) It is postulated that the dual-aspect primal entity UIEF (Brahman) that exist inherently cause entities that lack inherent existence.
(iv) It is unclear that structure, function, experience, and environment cause each other, but they might be linked via conditions and inter-dependently co-arise, co-evolve, co-develop, and sensorimotor co-tuned.
(v) In the Inseparable Dual-Aspect Monism (IDAM) framework, the physical aspect of a state of a manifested entity and that of the non-physical aspect (with functional, qualitative, cognitive, and experiential sub-aspects) of the same state of the same entity inseparably co-exist in each state of each entity at all levels. However, the degrees of manifestations of inseparable physical and non-physical aspects vary with the states and levels of entities and contexts; however, manifested entities lack inherent existence. In other words, the physical aspect and that of the non-physical aspect of manifested entities dependently co-arise, co-evolve, co-develop, and co-tuned for sensorimotor system appropriately depending on the levels of entities and contexts, which entail the inseparability of both aspects. In this sense, the symmetry between physical and non-physical aspects of a state of entity (such as brain-mind system) is maintained, where the physical aspect (from subject’s third person perspective) does not cause the inseparable non-physical aspect (from subject’s first person perspective) in living systems or vice-versa.

However, a framework and related model should encompass all possible beable ontic states both known and unknowns, which may include all dogmas and miracles of all religions and all seven states of consciousness. The IDAM has this ability as long as related states are beable and ontic in all 7 states of consciousness: MMY (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi) and (Boyer, 2018).Ch.9 propose there are 7 states of consciousness (sleep, dream, wakeful, transcendental/Turiya, CC/Turiyatit, refined CC/Bhagavad, and the Unity CC/Brahmi); each of the 7 states is a beable and ontic state and has its own reality. ...

Previously (Vimal, 2008a, 2008b, 2009a, 2009c, 2009e, 2009h, 2009i), we hypothesized that the state of each of fundamental entities (strings or elementary particles: fermions and bosons) have two aspects: (i) objective third person perspective (3pp) material aspect such as mass, charge, spin, and space-time, and (ii) ) subjective first person perspective (1pp) mental aspect, such as experiences (proto-experiences (PE)s for inert entities and subjective experiences (SEs) for conscious beings with life). We concluded that the optimal framework that has the least number of problems is the IDAM (inseparable dual-Aspect Monism: Dual-Aspect Monism with dual-mode and varying degrees of manifestation of aspects depending on the levels of entities) framework with the superposition-based hypothesis H1 (Vimal, 2009i). In H1, the fundamental entities and inert matter are the carriers of superimposed potential fundamental subjective experiences (SEs)/proto-experiences (PEs) in the mental aspect of a state of an entity. A specific SE arises in a neural-net as follows: (i) there exist a virtual reservoir that stores all possible potential fundamental SEs/PEs, (ii) the interaction of stimulus-dependent feed-forward and feedback signals in the neural-net creates a specific dual-aspect neural-net state, (iii) this specific state is assigned to a specific SE from the virtual reservoir during neural Darwinism, (iv) this specific SE is embedded as a memory trace of neural-net-PE, and (v) when a specific stimulus is presented to the neural net, the associated specific SE is selected by the matching and selection process and experienced by this net. SEs occur when essential ingredients of SEs (such as wakefulness, attention, re-entry, working memory, stimulus at or above the threshold level, and neural-net-PEs) are satisfied.
In this article, we discuss the empirical data related to samādhi state and explain it in terms of various frameworks. We conclude that our five component IDAM framework implies that the SE of a subject or ‘self’ in self-related neural-network is tuned to the self-related SE superposed in other innumerable entities during samādhi state via matching and selection processes. This leads to bliss, ecstasy, OBEs, and other unusual experiences at thoughtless Nirvikalpa Samādhi state.

This article portrays the author’s philosophical inquiry on the prospects of a participatory worldview in education and research. To this, the author begins his inquiry process, reflecting upon his own personal/ professional shift from rational (analytical) academician to the transformative educational practitioner. The reflection further depicts his continuous growth as a participatory researcher. Reflecting upon his personal/ professional journey, which is parallel to the spiral of human civilization from participatory to (post)positivist to constructivist to transformative to participatory again, the author makes philosophical observation at genealogical progression (spiral) of participatory worldview both in the East and the West. Also, the author observes current developments in the field of quantum science and renders how such developments have paved manifold ways for a participatory worldview in Social Science, particularly in education and research.
