Abstract

Before she married Harlem Renaissance poet Countée Cullen in 1940, Ida Mae Roberson moved to New York City, where her brother, singer Orlando Roberson, was a member bands consisting of Fats Waller, Claude Hopkins and many others moving in Harlem Renaissance circles.
