Dear Friends, I believe that UV is a key weapon now in our fight against an army of viruses, because the most dangerous is their exponential multiplication over time as we see here https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6 Now it’s necessary widely use the reliably UV disinfection inside airports, subway cars, inside all rooms in hospitals together with patients. This simple techniques used mercury lamps or UV LED having optimal wavelengths near 260 nm to damage the virus RNA. The radiation will ensure all disinfection of clothing, hair and skin of people, because this Sun like treatment is useful during several seconds, in principle, and does not cause harm for man (only the eyes should be protected under glasses or closed for a few minutes). It has long been known that it is ultraviolet with a wavelength of about 0.15 to 0.4 microns kills all microbes and viruses carefully. It's important that, ordinary window panes of glasses in our homes do not pass UV radiation absolutely. May be therefore, now there are too much aggressive Covid19 viruses. Let’s analyze: a power, W, of light decreases inversely with distance ,R. Let's consider surface area of optimal sphere, S = 4 pi R2. Based on the previous mentioned data we should provide a value K = 400 micro Watts per 1 cm2 = 4 W\m2 in second. It should be equal to W/S = K, so all viruses will die after 1 second inside a sphere with a radius of about 1.4 meters at UV power W = 100 Watts, but as more power as better. The UV lamp production are at USHIO at 254 nm or at http://lisma.su/en/katalog-produktsii/trubchatye/index.html . The long-wave UV radiation emitted by the lamp is also useful because it quickly vaporizes the surrounding moisture near virus, then move your lamp along the hospital corridor forward !
