Abstract and Figures

This study examines the effect of organizational citizenship behavior and leadership effectiveness on organizational performance in the Department of Education, Youth and Sports in Maluku Province, Indonesia. Results of the study showed that in simultaneous organizational citizenship behavior and leadership effectiveness give effect to the strongest towards the achievement of organizational performance. Another interesting finding in this study is that despite the lack of incentives and rewards for employees as well as the lack of quality of human resources, it can be reduced by reforming the internal stem based on resources owned so that organizational performance can be optimized.

Abstract
This study examines the effect of organizational citizenship behavior and leadership
effectiveness on organizational performance in the Department of Education, Youth
and Sports in Maluku Province, Indonesia. Results of the study showed that in
simultaneous organizational citizenship behavior and leadership effectiveness give
effect to the strongest towards the achievement of organizational performance. Another
interesting finding in this study is that despite the lack of incentives and rewards for
employees as well as the lack of quality of human resources, it can be reduced by

Introduction
Bureaucratic reform as a form of good governance in the context of implementing
regional autonomy in Indonesia requires all management of public sector organiza-
tions to be performance oriented so that they are no longer policy oriented. This
implementation technically requires government agencies in Indonesia to strive to
optimally improve service quality and organizational performance. A number of
studies have shown that organizational slack occurs characterized by declining

Literature was reviewed to deepen the concept of the study. The study used descriptive assessment and correlational research design. The population of the study were the employees of the institution, and questionnaires were used to gather the data. Weighted mean and Pearson r correlation were applied to analyze the data. The finding indicates that participation in decision-making and organizational citizenship behavior are high. The Pearson r correlation suggests that involvement in decision-making affects the cognitive attitude toward work but not the effective attitude. The same is true with organizational citizenship behavior, the Pearson r correlation indicates no significant correlation. .

This study explored how organizational citizenship behavior influences grit and work ethics. A thorough literature review was conducted to provide a deeper understanding of the concepts central to the research. Using a correlational research design, the study focused on the employees of Divine Word College of Laoag. Data were collected through validated research questionnaires, with analysis conducted using weighted means and Pearson r correlation. The results revealed no significant relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and grit, but a strong positive correlation was found between work ethics and grit. Based on these findings, the study suggests that future research should expand the population and explore additional variables that may impact grit.

The study aimed to investigate the impact of organizational citizenship behaviour on the grit and work ethics on the grit. Literature was reviewed to deepen the concept of the study. The study used assessment and correlational research design. The population of the study was all the employees of the Divine Word College of Laoag. The data were gathered using validated research questionnaires and weighted mean and Pearson r correlation were used to analyze the data. The study found that there is no correlation between organizational citizenship behaviour and grit but there is a significant correlation between work ethics and grit. The study recommends further study to include more populations and variables influencing grit.

Islamic boarding schools are the oldest Islamic educational institutions that are deeply rooted in the history of the Indonesian nation. Since the 15th century, Islamic boarding schools have existed as a manifestation of the synergistic encounter between universal Islamic teachings and local wisdom. Islamic boarding schools can survive across time and generations, because the Islamic boarding school education system prioritizes the formation of spirituality, morality, noble morals and manners. The current study attempts to recommend a priority strategic in adopting Internet of Things (IoT) to create innovative services in islamic boarding School. The processing technique used to determine the strategy is the fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). This research was conducted in Islamic Boarding School by Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with several experts. The expert is mayor of Depok, head of the Data and Information Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Director of Education Diniyah Islamic Boarding School, founder of Islamic boarding school Cendekia Amanah, Professor of Ushuluddin Faculty, IoT practitioner, alumni, and Islamic boarding school practitioner. The results show that the most dominant factor in improving services is human resources, and the actor is the islamic boarding management leader. The following finding is that the Increase organizational impact through service effectiveness and efficiency. The prior alternative strategy to recommend is by Building a technology culture among Islamic boarding school residents through Islamic boarding school values, habits and systems. The results of this study are presented and discussed, and the results of this study can be helpful for islamic boarding school in similar developing countries.

The study aimed to examine how employee treatment influences organizational commitment and citizenship behavior. A literature review was conducted to provide a deeper understanding of these concepts. The study employed a descriptive assessment and correlational research design, utilizing the weighted mean and Pearson's r correlation to analyze the data. The sample included all employees of the institution, with data gathered through questionnaires. Findings revealed a moderate level of employee treatment, while organizational commitment and citizenship behavior were rated high. However, Pearson’s r indicated no significant correlation between employee treatment and either organizational commitment or citizenship behavior, leading to a rejection of the hypothesis. The study suggests further research with a larger sample and additional variables to more comprehensively assess these outcomes.

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership styles on institutional transformation and to identify adaptive strategies for effective change management in the context of Indonesian Public Universities (PTNs) striving to achieve world-class university (WCU) status. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 125 universities through a hybrid questionnaire method involving Rectors, Directors, Vice Rectors, and Vice Directors as representatives. This study employed logistic regression to analyze the influence of leadership styles on the likelihood of PTNs achieving WCU status, alongside Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for deeper insights. The study results indicate that transcollegial leadership increases the likelihood of universities achieving WCU status by 35%, while digital and entrepreneurial leadership contribute 25% and 20%, respectively. The primary challenges identified include inadequate digital infrastructure, resistance to change, and regulatory limitations. This study provides practical and theoretical contributions by identifying adaptive leadership strategies tailored to the unique contexts of PTNs. This study is significant as it addresses the leadership challenges specific to Indonesian public universities in their pursuit of international recognition, providing practical and theoretical insights for achieving sustainable transformation. Future research could examine how leadership styles interact with institutional policies and external factors, such as global rankings and funding mechanisms, to achieve and sustain WCU status. Expanding the scope to include comparative studies across different regions or educational systems could provide broader insights into effective strategies for institutional transformation.

This study examined how employees' involvement in decision-making affects organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. By reviewing relevant literature, the study aimed to contextualize these concepts and identify potential relationships. A descriptive assessment and correlational research design were used to analyze data from questionnaires completed by employees. Statistical analysis involved calculating the weighted mean and employing Pearson's correlation to measure relationships among variables. Results indicated high levels of participation in decision-making, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior among employees. However, correlation analysis showed no significant relationship between employees' involvement in decision-making and their organizational commitment or citizenship behavior, leading to the rejection of the initial hypothesis. Given these findings, exploring other factors influencing commitment and citizenship behavior may provide deeper insights into enhancing these organizational outcomes.

The objective of this research is to explore the relations between different categories of managerial innovations in public organizations. This paper aims to characterize the nature of the links between the implementation of an innovation and the subsequent adoption of a second, “follow-on” innovation. Our research, which integrates the specific dimension of public managerial innovation, endeavours to enrich the research and the literature on the determinants of innovation dynamics in public organizations. Using two case studies of French local government authorities, this research highlights the direct and indirect effects and show how managerial innovations positively influence the future innovation capability of public organizations.

Whether Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) is a unidimensional or a multidimensional construct was assessed through the development and validation of a multidimensional measure. Item analysis involving 302 working students, followed by construct and criterion-related validation using 249 employees representing two organizations resulted in a multidimensional LMX scale. The results provided support for the affect, loyalty, and contribution dimensions identified by Dienesch and Liden (1986), as well as a fourth dimension, professional respect.

Technological advances in the 21st century raise the importance of the process of accessing and evaluating knowledge. Knowledge sharing is important in individual level as much as is in organizational level. Effective knowledge sharing among the members of an organization makes a positive impact on the realization of goals set by the organization. Knowledge sharing positively affects the performance of the employees who work to reach these goals. Moreover, in the study behaviors of the individuals communicating during the knowledge sharing process are classified as ethical and unethical. Increase in unethical behaviors decrease the effect of knowledge sharing on the employee performance. Unethical behaviors in an organization are classified as behaviors against shareholders, clients, suppliers, employees as well as against the public. This study examines the role of unethical behaviors on the effect of knowledge sharing on the employee performance in the organizational level.

With the passage of time and the accumulation of experience, the hegemony of the New Public Management (NPM) (now no longer new) as the dominant approach to public sector reform has weakened, particularly as applied to developing countries. What alternative frameworks for theory and practice offer insights and guidance beyond the NPM orthodoxy? This article offers some answers to this question and draws upon the contributions to this special issue to explore four analytic strands that constitute post-NPM approaches to reform: political economy and institutions, public management function over form, iterative and adaptive reform processes, and individual and collective agency. The discussion highlights the significance of functional mimicry, the challenges of measuring results, the practical difficulties in achieving contextual fit and accounting for the inherent uncertainty in reform processes, the tensions between ownership and outside expertise, and unpacking political economy dynamics within various micro-contexts and across regime types. Recent research on total quality management (TQM) has examined the relationships between the practices of quality management and various levels of organizational performance. These studies have produced mixed results, probably because of the nature of the research designs used such as measuring TQM or performance as a single construct. Based on a comprehensive literature review, this study identifies the relationships among TQM practices and examines the direct and indirect effects of these practices on various performance levels. A proposed research model and hypotheses are tested by using cross‐sectional mail survey data collected from firms operating in the US. The test of the structural model supports the proposed hypotheses. The implications of the findings for researchers and practitioners are discussed and further research directions are offered.

The purpose of this study is to integrate the notion of extra-role performance with the current understanding of the relationships among salesperson job attitudes (job satisfaction and organizational commitment), role perceptions (ambiguity and conflict), in- and extra-role behavior, and turnover. The authors develop and test a theoretical model that specifies the relationships between in- and extra-role performance and salesperson job satisfaction, organizational commitment, role perceptions, and turnover using cross-sectional data from a large sample (N = 672) of commission sales personnel. The results generally indicate that performance and job attitudes mediate the relationships between role perceptions and turnover. However, the most notable aspect of the findings is that they are consistent with the hypothesis that in- and extra-role performance are intertwined, with in-role performance serving as an antecedent of job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and extra-role performance as a consequence of these two variables. The authors discuss the implications of these findings for sales research.

Project management literature has long argued that inter-organizational justice is a key driver of successful construction project delivery. It is argued that when people believe business transactions are fair, they are more likely to exhibit positive organizational citizenship behaviors such as working harmoniously, giving discretionary effort, respecting others, and collaborating to resolve problems. However, there has been little empirical evidence to support these assertions. To address this knowledge gap, an online survey of 135 consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers from across the construction project supply chain was undertaken. The results show that project participants' organizational citizenship behaviors are influenced by their perceived interpersonal justice in business transactions. However, the findings also offer a more nuanced understanding of the complexities and inter-connectedness of these relationships in showing how one type of inter-organizational justice acts on another in influencing project organizational citizenship behaviors. The results indicate that interpersonal justice is a key ingredient in bringing about positive organizational citizenship behaviors in construction projects and that project performance can be enhanced if project managers treat project participants with politeness, respect, and dignity.
