For HI students, the study identified language-related problems, printed text-related reading challenges, and the necessity of Indian Sign Language (ISL) and ISL videos in the learning process. As a possible solution, the second part of the work is dedicated to developing a broad knowledge-based media using a common edutainment framework. This novel application-based design is intended to aid the hearing impaired in expanding their basic knowledge about the external environment with emphasis both on vocabulary expansion and on specifying an appropriate academic curriculum that helps the HI to learn many concepts in a single framework. This effort to broaden their academic interests emphasizes, among other aspects, the concept of learning through antonyms and contrast words. It is claimed that by having a better understanding of antonyms and contrasting concepts, the HI can learn more effectively. Finally, the Android-based mobile application has been tested and validated as an effective and convenient way to enhance the imparting of primary education to the HI.
