After more than 50 years of striving to objectivize purported equivalent effects, the expanding empirical work on the reception of M2 communication products is most welcome (O'Hagan & Flanagan, 2018;Walker, 2019;Griebel, 2020;Liao, et al., 2020;Nurminen, 2020;Rojo, et al., 2021), even though some areas, such as translating tests and questionnaires, are still mostly in the hands of bilingual researchers of given specialties (but see Behr &Sha, 2018 andDorer, 2020).
