Cyprus was remained under the domination of many civilizations since B.C. 1450 due to its geopolitical location
and natural riches. Some of these civilizations were placed their culture and history to the Cyprus island and maintained
historical and cultural richness of the previous civilization, but some of them were partially destroyed many historical

... [Show full abstract] and looting. One of the most important civilizations was Ottoman Empire who
developed preserving a previous civilization's cultural and historical landmarks, placed their own culture on the island
and continued its longer dominance from A.C. 1571 till 1878. Ottomans considered special emphasis to education and
instruction systems in order to develop social and cultural structure and placed their own system to the every region was
conquered including Cyprus. In this work, first of all, applications and developments of the education and instruction
systems which synthesized by the Ottoman culture in Cyprus are discussed, after that the education and instruction
systems in the British period are discussed, and finally, developments in the education and instruction systems of the
Turkish period are analyzed historically.
