Dense WDM multiplexer and demultiplexer with 0.4 nm channel spacing

The authors report high performance dense WDM multiplexers and
demultiplexers with a 0.4 nm channel spacing. Special apodised fibre
Bragg gratings (FBGs) and low loss bandpass WDM filters are utilised.
The demonstrated cost effective eight-channel dense WDM devices have a
high channel isolation of >25 dB and an insertion loss of ~7.5 dB.
