The use of a robotic spine to evaluate the correlation of spinal stability and intra-abdominal pressure

Abstract

This study evaluated the correlation between intra-abdominal pressure and spinal stability through the use of a robotic spine model. The study aimed to determine the required intramuscular pressure to maintain stability of the robotic spine model when subjected to a compressive load and with varying intra-abdominal pressures.
