Psychometric Study of the Short-Form of the Creative Personality Scale
Margarida Pocinho (UMa/CIERL & CIEO/CinTurs), Soraia Garcês (UMa/CIERL & CIEO/CinTurs), Saúl Neves de Jesus (UAlg & CIEO/CinTurs), João Viseu (UAlg & CIEO/CinTurs)
& Juan José Miguel-Tobal (University Complutense of Madrid)
•The analysis showed that a short-form of the scale with 11 items, instead of the initial 30 items, had adequate
psychometric values.
•The 11-item solution presented a solid factorial structure, a situation that indicated that it was not necessary to add
more items. Also, this 11-item arrangement showed abetter overall fit than the initial 30-item structure.
•The results indicated a good fit for the model and confirmed the one-factor structure of the short-form of the Creative
Personality Scale with 11 items.
•Analyze the psychometric characteristics of the short-form of the Creative Personality Scale to the Portuguese population, through
an Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA).
