Data for length-weight relationship, age, growth and mortality were analyzed for Lithognathus mormyrus in the Mediterranean coast off Alexandria waters. Total length ranged between 8 and 25 cm and the gutted weight from 7.2 to 165 gm. The length-weight relationship was determined for males (log a=-1.719, b = 2.769), females (log a= -1.995, b=3.017) and combined sexes (log a= -1.869, b =

Growth parameters for males were (L = 36.01, k= 0.129, t o = -0.982), for females (L = 35.07, k = 0.133, t o = -1.527) and for the whole sample (L =37.08, k = 0.127, t o = -1.49).Total mortality (Z) was (0.675 for males and 0.591 for females), natural mortality (M) was (0.398 for males and 0.406 for females).
