Abstract

Narrative Structure on Banjar Traditional Marriage in Kecamatan Pulau Laut UtaraKabupaten Kotabaru. Narrative structures are the narrator's way of presenting events toaudiences. The narrative has a structure from start to finish. The narrative structure foundin Banjar marriage in Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara consists of 3 (three) stages: first,middle, and end. Adat Banjar is an idea of Banjar urban culture in developing culturalsystem, social system and cultural material which is related to religion, through variousprocess of adaptation, acculturation and assimilation. So that will appear to be mixing incultural aspects. The focus of this research is the narrative structure, at the stage of jujurmaatar and stage of marriage ceremony. The approach used is anthropological approach,with the type of descriptive research, and research method used is qualitative method. Theresults of this study are as follows: narrative structure found in Banjar customarymarriage, namely: 1) the structure of narrative stage jujuran maatar, early stage(welcoming the prospective groom), middle stage (delivery of delivery by the prospectivegroom) male and acceptance of delivery by the prospective bride), and the final stage(prayer and fresh bite). 2) The structure of the narrative stage of the marriage ceremony;2.1 stages of requesting permission to be married, early stage (prospective bride askspermission to be married), middle stage (guardians grant permission), and final stage(guardian represents to the penghulu and penghulu receive to represent the guardian). 2.2phase of marriage ceremony, early stage (opening ceremony of marriage ceremony),middle stage (qabul qabul and sighat ta'lik reading), and final stage (prayer read).Key words: narrative structure, Banjar customary marriageAbstrakStruktur Narasi Perkawinan Adat Banjar di Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara KabupatenKotabaru. Struktur narasi adalah cara pembuat narasi dalam menghadirkan peristiwakepada khalayak. Narasi mempunyai struktur dari awal hingga akhir. Struktur narasi yangterdapat pada perkawinan adat Banjar di Kecamatan Pulau Laut Utara, terdiri dari 3(tiga) tahap, yaitu: tahap awal (beginning), tahap tengah (midle), dan tahap akhir (end).Adat Banjar adalah sebuah gagasan kebudayaan urang Banjar dalam mengembangkansistem budaya, sistem sosial dan material budaya yang mana berkaitan dengan religi,melalui berbagai proses adaptasi, akulturasi dan asimilasi. Sehingga akan tampakterjadinya pembauran dalam aspek-aspek budaya. Fokus penelitian ini adalah strukturnarasi, pada tahap maatar jujuran dan tahap upacara nikah. Pendekatan yang gunakanadalah pendekatan antropologis, dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif, dan metode penelitianyang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut:37struktur narasi yang terdapat pada perkawinan adat Banjar, yaitu: 1) struktur narasitahap maatar jujuran, tahap awal (penyambutan pihak calon mempelai laki-laki), tahaptengah (penyerahan hantaran oleh pihak calon mempelai laki-laki dan penerimaanhantaran oleh pihak calon mempelai perempuan), dan tahap akhir (doa dan tapung tawar).2) Struktur narasi tahap upacara nikah; 2.1 tahap meminta izin untuk dinikahkan, tahapawal (calon mempelai perempuan meminta izin untuk dinikahkan), tahap tengah (walimemberikan izin), dan tahap akhir (wali berwakil kepada penghulu dan penghulumenerima untuk mewakilkan wali). 2.2 tahap akad nikah, tahap awal (pembukaan acaraakad nikah), tahap tengah (ijab qabul dan pembacaan sighat ta’lik), dan tahap akhir(pembacaan doa).Kata-kata kunci: struktur narasi, perkawinan adat Banjar

The Structure and Values of Character Education for the Main Character in Represi Novel by Fakhrisina Amalia. This study aims to describe the structure and educational value of the main character in Fakhrisina Amalia’s novel, Represi. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This study uses the method of content analysis (content). Data collection is done by literature study. The results of data analysis found that the structure of the Represi novel which was analyzed was theme, setting, plot, main character and characterization, point of view, and message. The educational value of the main character named Anna consists of being honest, creative, socially concerned, friendly/communicative, and peace-loving. Represi Novel can be used as useful reading material because it contains the value of character education from the main character which exemplary attitude especially for teenagers to behave positively in social life.Keywords: represi novel, structure, the value of character educationAbstrakStruktur dan Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Tokoh Utama dalam Novel Represi Karya Fakhrisina Amalia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur dan nilai pendidikan karakter tokoh utama dalam novel Represi karya Fakhrisina Amalia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi (content). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka. Hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa struktur novel Represi yang dianalisis adalah tema, latar, alur, tokoh utama dan penokohan, sudut pandang, dan amanat. Nilai pendidikan karakter tokoh utama bernama Anna terdiri dari jujur, kreatif, peduli sosial, bersahabat/ komunikatif, dan cinta damai. Novel Represi dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan bacaan yang bermanfaat karena memuat nilai pendidikan karakter dari tokoh utama yang dapat diteladani khususnya remaja agar berperilaku positif dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.Kata-kata kunci: novel represi, struktur, nilai pendidikan karakter

The Structure and Meaning of The Dayak Ngaju Traditional Marriage Processes. The lack of written works related to the culture of the Dayak Ngaju tribe is the most basic thing so this research is very important to be explored as an effort to document local cultural forms. The research aims to explore the culture of the Dayak Ngaju tribe so it will be known and understood in terms of the meaning contained in the traditional wedding procession. The research result can be used as a foundation for conducting the traditional wedding. The research approach is qualitative with an explorative method and descriptive method. The research data are in the form of Dayak Ngaju people’s activities related to the procession and items of customary requirements. The data sources include traditional leaders, mantir (assistant of traditional apparatus), and public figures. The data collection techniques employ observation techniques, recording, and interviews. The research results indicate that the structure of Dayak Ngaju traditional wedding starts with the fulfillment of “jalan hadat” by conducting “amak rakang injang” by meeting the 20 requirements paid by the groom and it is ended with the fulfillment of the final condition called “batu kaja” that is paid during the “pakaja manantu” (the procession of taking the bride to the groom family after the wedding procession). The meaning of the traditional wedding procession is teaching the procedures of “belum bahadat” (civilized life) so that humans have respect, good manners, and morals.Keywords: Structure, meaning, traditional mating, Ngaju DayakAbstrak Struktur dan Makna Prosesi Perkawinan Adat Dayak Ngaju. Minimnya karya tulis terkait kebudayaan suku Dayak Ngaju menjadi hal yang paling mendasar sehingga penelitian ini sangat penting untuk digali sebagai upaya pendokumentasian bentuk kebudayaan lokal. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengeksplorasikan kebudayaan suku Dayak Ngaju agar tidak hanya dikenal tetapi dapat dipahami pula makna yang terkandung dalam prosesi perkawinan adat tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai pijakan jika ingin melangsungkan pernikahan melalui adat. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif dengan metode eksploratif dan deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah wujud aktivitas masyarakat Dayak Ngaju terkait prosesi perkawinan adat serta benda-benda yang menjadi syarat adat, sedangkan sumber data adalah ketua adat, mantir, dan tokoh masyarakat. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu observasi, rekaman, dan wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian tentang struktur dalam kawin adat suku Dayak Ngaju dimulai dari pemenuhan jalan hadat dengan menggelar amak rakang injang sebagai tanda dimulainya pemenuhan jalan adat perkawinan suku Dayak Ngaju dengan memenuhi 20 syarat yang dibayarkan mempelai laki-laki dan ditutup dengan pemenuhan syarat terakhir yang disebut batu kaja yang dibayarkan saat prosesi pakaja manantu (ngunduh mantu). Adapun makna yang terkandung dalam prosesi kawin adat pada dasarnya mengajarkan tata cara ‘belum bahadat’ (hidup beradab) agar manusia memiliki sikap hormat, berbudi pekerti, dan bermoral.Kata kunci: struktur, makna, kawin adat, Dayak Ngaju

Narratives are artefacts of a special kind: they are devices which function to tell stories, and do so by conveying the storytelling intentions of their makers. But, narrative itself is too inclusive a category for much more to be said about it than this; we should focus attention instead on the vaguely defined but interesting category of things rich in narrative structure. Such devices offer significant possibilities, not merely for the representation of stories, but for the expression of point of view; they have also played an important role in the evolution of reliable channels of information, an issue pursued in three chapter appendices. This book argues that much of the pleasure of narrative depends on early developing tendencies in human beings to imitation and to joint attention, and imitation turns out to be the key to understanding such important literary techniques as free indirect discourse and character-focused narration. The book also examines irony in narrative, with an emphasis on the idea of the expression of ironic points of view; a case study of this phenomenon is offered. Finally, the book examines the idea of Character, as evidenced in robust, situation-independent ways of acting and thinking, and its important role in many narratives. It is asked whether scepticism about the notion of Character should have us reassess the dramatic and literary tradition which places such emphasis on Character.
