From communication to the human relation. Kairology and the person’s ontological evolution : from the possibility for being to the reality of being a human person

Abstract

« Persona est Individua substantia rationalis naturae ». This definition, that filled the Middle Age philosophy, makes relative the person ontology to his/her acts and functions and it is wrong, because also persons without intelligence, at the first or final stage of their life, or unable of a human relation like schizophrenics or suffering from autism, have the person dignity. Being person is the primary ontological status of the human nature introduced by Jesus Christ, who gave a substance quality to the being and whose contribution to the humanity, is more than a religious one as also Nietzche and Hengel stated. This person founded an ontological revolution of the human nature determining the birth of an anthropology of human nature, changing the humanity history, (e.g the birth of hospitals and the concept of " Taking care of sick abandoned and emarginated people", complementary and new , compared to the Greek Therapy" and determinant for the philosophy, theology and clinical science history. To date, the world time is measured from his birth. Christian Theology first decidedly oriented towards a relational interpretation of the person from the Trinitarian relation among three individual persons but omitted to consider that before a relation the identity of "being the person" is necessary. In the same way, the Christian revolution has given to the person the necessity of a relationship with himself and the world for assuming the attribute of "human". In this unique perspective, existence could be defined as possibility for being a human person. Possibility of being a human person, the self-possible, starts in adolescence from the awareness to establish relationships, constituting a " self" and a "you". The possibility of being a human person is the second ontological status of human nature. Higher faculties of the being person such as intelligence and will, quests for natural freedom that calls for a choice among the possibilities of desires, intentions and behavior-the Self-possible". These are addressed to follow a deep natural question of truth, love, and beauty-the Self ideal-revealed from the adolescence time, for interpreting possibilities giving to these a true or wrong meaning for the internal and external world construction. This is the necessary passage for realizing him/herself , the "Self-real", the person's liberty and dignity as Kairology teaches. This is the " Real ontological status" corresponding to the "being a human person", the realization of the self-possible in truth, love and beauty. "Self-ideal" isn't the psychoanalytic " ego ideal" a tool of the self-possible and indifferently addressed to life or death, according to the ideal quality. Self-ideal, Self-possible, Self-real correspond to the ontological structure of the human person, but the possibility of being a human person does not give an answer to the natural question about the meaning of the being person, posed by the Self possible. It requests for knowledge, impossible to humanity, for answering the question: " What's the truth, what's the love, what's the beauty". Only a true answer allows human dignity as Socrates intuited with his "Ti esti"? What is this) , through the invitation to introspection written on the Delphi temple: " Man know yourself", that means: "The truth about yourself" as Augustin of Hippo had developed: " Noli foras ire, redi in te ipsum, in interiore homine habitat veritas" , founding introspection psychology ..............( see the extended summary)

first ontological status of Being Person” from conception to adolescence, when there is the
awareness to be made for truth, love and beauty, the mystery of the self-possible through
the revelation of logical and psychosexual-affective structures which allow the entrance in the
self-possible time . The Self-Real”, the realization of human person is the third ontological
status of being a person responding to the “ Ti esti” question and impossible to the human
intelligence, proof of its limitation. Adolescents experiment, for the first time, the ontological
pathos between possibilities and limits: the mystery of the human adventure. “Being Person” is
the primary ontological state from conception to adolescence and it is received. Being person
means the entrance into the communication world for survival, like a foetus with mother or
children with parents. But it is not a human relation, only in the foetus and child's perspective,
because they are unable to build one because unable of awareness. Communication is only at
the information level that closes when it is gratifying the intention and its main objective is
survival for evolution, but, only for humans, it is the starting point for establishing a human
relation. An animal communicates , a man is able to build a relation if he can , wants and looks
for it. Communication is proper to all animated beings and in a certain sense, when the human
intelligence discovers it, also to unanimated energy, like a sun ray and elementary particles,
matter, space and time as quantum physics teaches. In such a way scientific research is building
a relationship with energy and matter to the search for a truth written in natural laws. In
Medicine, that should be founded on a relationship with a suffering person calling for help, the
knowledge object is the subject of a disease, an existing event, and consequently belonging to a
“being person” possibility-self possible- and hiding a meaning not only one deterministic cause
of the pathology phenomenon, interacting with it, like Person Centered Medicine epistemology
teaches. The second ontological condition, the self-possible, is based on the transformation of
communication in relationships: the intention to be into a true relationship, that means looking
for the truth of it, but that can be originated only by the awareness of the human condition
mystery and limits, starting from adolescence, “the Kairos time”. Possibility to enter into a
relation with himself an the other person, involves an existential choice, an intention ,

expression of a natural freedom, but unfulfilled, because obeys to the Self -possible, the
unconscious natural attraction to be realized in the truth, love and beauty, the self-real”, the
“real ontological status” of the person. The Self- real” requests for the answer to Ti esti”
(What), impossible to humans, but proposed by the word and life of a man appeared in the
human history from 2019 years, determining the world change of time and calendars. This man
called “Jesus Christ” offered his person as a necessity for the revelation of the ontological
substance of the “Ti esti”, transforming it in “ Who is” that means what is the truth about the
human identity Who am I- Who are you? The man in such a way could become a free and
realized subject , full responsible for the creation of the world quality , inside and outside . The
Christ’s human-divine, ontological operation has been the substitution on the Delphi temple the
word “ Know” with “love”, pursuing the true love for himself and others as realizing paradigm
of the Self possible, and creating a natural freedom relativity, choosing or not truth- love -
beauty as substance of the being a human person (Self real), as real ontological realization of
the person’s freedom and dignity
