Formation constrained multi-agent control

We propose a model independent coordination strategy for multi-agent formation control. The main theorem states that under a bounded tracking error assumption our method stabilizes the formation error. We illustrate the usefulness of the method by applying it to rigid body constrained motions, as well as to mobile manipulation.

In Italia continuano a diffondersi molteplici forme di migrazione temporanea per motivi di lavoro, trasferimenti spesso a carattere circolare, in riferimento ai quali si è parlato anche di “pendolarismo a lungo raggio”. Negli ultimi decenni, l’evoluzione delle tecnologie di trasporto ha accentuato la mobilità spaziale e abbreviato le distanze tra i luoghi, facilitando soprattutto gli spostamenti ... [Show full abstract] di medio-lungo raggio. Allo stesso tempo, nelle società più avanzate si sono fatti più marcati alcuni fattori di viscosità alla migrazione “definitiva”. In particolare tra le generazioni più giovani, le odierne strategie migratorie devono tenere conto dei nuovi equilibri tra i membri del nucleo familiare. Il lavoro femminile non ha più un peso marginale come un tempo e un trasferimento di residenza deve considerare le esigenze lavorative di entrambi i membri della coppia, nonché la continuità del percorso educativo dei figli, che meglio si esprime in un contesto scolastico stabile. In un paese come l’Italia, poi, la flessibilizzazione del mercato del lavoro ha reso transitoria sia l’esperienza lavorativa che quella migratoria e l’ampia diffusione dell’abitazione di proprietà rappresenta un ulteriore freno ad un trasferimento duraturo, soprattutto nelle grandi aree urbane, dove i valori immobiliari sono spesso proibitivi. La scelta di una mobilità lavorativa a carattere temporaneo e ricorrente rappresenta perciò un efficace compromesso tra differenti esigenze, sia in un’ottica transitoria che nel lungo periodo. I dati della “Rilevazione continua delle forze di lavoro” dell’Istat permettono di mettere in luce alcuni aspetti dell’evoluzione recente delle migrazioni temporanee per lavoro lungo la “tradizionale” direttrice Sud-Nord. Ciò appare di particolare interesse anche nell’ipotesi che, permanendo il rilevante divario economico tra le due ripartizioni, una parte delle forti migrazioni “permanenti” di un tempo possa essersi trasformata in mobilità provvisoria.

The results are summarized in the form of stability/collapse diagrams in the parametric space of the model, which demonstrate that the the attractive DD interactions stabilize the solitons and help to prevent the collapse. Variation of stream power with seepage in sand-bed channels

Downward seepage (suction) increases the mobility of the channel. In this study, experimental investigations were carried out to analyse the suction effect on stream power along the downstream side of the flume. It was observed that stream power has a major influence on the stability and mobility of the bed particles, due to suction. Stream power is found to be greater at the upstream side and ... [Show full abstract] lower at the downstream side. This reduces the increment in the mobility of the sand particles due to suction at the downstream side. Thus, there is more erosion at the upstream side than the downstream side. It was also found that the amount of deposition of sand particles at the downstream side, because of the high stream power at the upstream side, is greater than the amount of erosion of sand particles from the downstream side.

The stability of gate insulator SiNx:H on device characteristics of amorphous silicon TFTs

In addition, the obvious dependence between threshold voltage shift after bias stress test and the refractive index of a-SiN x:H was found in our study. The results confirm the N-rich a-SiN x:H (lower R.I) incorporated into a-Si:H TFTs demonstrate less threshold voltage shift after bias stress test.

Furthermore, we investigate a class of closure hypothesis, which complement these constraints and thereby determine an evolution of the macroscopic quantities themselves, by analyzing the stability of this evolution. Our analysis uses a combination of tools from nonlinear scalar conservation laws and ideas from the theory of effective moduli.

[Show full abstract] into multiple positions describing a neutral path of motion and laxity about the neutral path. The distal part of the femoral composite was then used to define the tibial surface. By varying the femoral design, different tibial surfaces were produced. The reference design featured a dished medial tibial surface and a shallow lateral tibial surface, but this provided limited motion guidance. To provide further guidance, two types of design were generated, one using intercondylar guide surfaces, the other providing guidance from the condylar surfaces themselves. Conclusions: The design method was capable of generating a range of total knee surfaces which could potentially return the arthritic knee to more normal function.
