In the context of "serious games", this article aims to lay the foundations for a narrative and cognitive writing by using “metalepsis” to deliver more effectively certain pedagogical comments. Following an introduction on the concept of narrative metalepsis, the article describes theoretically its possible roles in learning, which is based first on Piaget' cognitive conflict and then on the socio-cognitive conflict. Thus, the social relationship is defined as an interaction between a learner and two potential enunciators. These enunciators result from semio-pragmatics constructions triggered by the metalepsis, one is of fictional origin while the other is called "real enunciator". This theoretical investigation leads to the writing of a serious game that illustrates three possible modalities of metalepsis, two of which are qualified as "sociocognitive". These modalities allow us to rethink the designer's role and intervention as well as the scope of the device: according to metalepsis, learning is not confined to fiction, but in communication with the author and open to the real. Finally, the article discusses some potential limits and perspectives of this pedagogi-cal interactive fiction model.
