Abstract

Nowadays there are various techniques for desalination. Some pass waters with high pressure through microscopic membranes, so microscopic that even viruses cannot pass through its holes, Salt molecules are separated from water and the result is sweet water (the amount of sweetening depends on our choice). In another type of desalination, saltwater is evaporated and then it cools again, so sweat water remains. It is exactly the thing which distillation devices do. It is not important what and how these devices operate. What matters is the thing remains of these devices. Sweet water is the most important part remains; this is the philosophy of the existence of these devices. Except for sweet water, bitter water is abided too. The bitter water is hot, distasteful and bad scenery. This water is much warmer than normal seawater and its other salts (such as salt and other minerals) are higher than the salinity of the sea. So what should we do with this bitter water. The simplest answer is to find a way to its source or sea. Usually, desalination is placed near the sea. They receive water with pressure and soften the water there, then they give it back to the sea. In this process, many samples of environmental degradation occur which we cannot escape with the available level of technology. The desalination is forced to squeeze the water into their inner layers. Many microscopic organisms in the seas (such as planktons) and even small crustaceans or tiny fish cannot withstand this extreme pressure and water poisoning, and they cannot resist then they go to desalination and disappear. Once this becomes more serious, we know that most of these microscopic beings are the beginning of the sea's life chain, and without them, aquatic life is in danger of being completely destroyed.

As global fuel reserves are depleted, alternative and more efficient forms of energy generation and delivery will be required. Combined Heat and Power with District Heating (CHP-DH) provides an alternative energy production and delivery mechanism that is less resource intensive, more energy efficient and provides greater energy security than many popular alternatives independent power generation system composed of distributed generation units, loads, energy storages and control devices. To fulfill the power demands of the electricity users in a specific area, multiple CHP-DH participate as electricity sellers in the power market. In this power market, different users have different impacts on the price strategies of the CHP-DH. We consider the demand response management of multiple users and multiple CHP-DH with different and overlapping sales areas. By constructing a Stackelberg game model between the CHP-DH and the users, we analyze the optimal price strategies for the CHP-DH and the optimal demand strategies for the users in a systematic way. We prove that there is a unique Stackelberg equilibrium solution for the game, including the associated equilibrium prices and demand strategies for the CHP-DH and users, respectively.

Abstract— this paper presents a stochastic model for the energy bidding problem of a wind power producer (WPP) who takes part in the electricity market to supply the loads under its jurisdiction. Different sources of uncertainty due to the intermittent renewable energy sources, customers and EVs required demand as well as electricity prices are considered in the model. The presence of such uncertainties in the planning model requires bidding energy with the balancing market. Also, in order to cope with uncertainties, a conditional value at risk (CVaR) term has been included in the model. The energy bidding problem of the WPP is modeled as a two stage stochastic program, which is solved using scenario-based optimization approach. The use of combined heat and power generation system (CHP); generally will increase the system efficiency and thus cut the cost of production. In order for the feasibility of using CHP in the power distribution company in Tehran province, the energy audit of manufacturing based in the Tehran was carried out. For this purpose, first; long-term and short-term energy consumption data are collected and then energy is fully audited in the site. The specifications of all equipment, maps, dimensions and equipment layout are among the most important measures have been done. Energy audit makes a detailed analysis of energy consumption details and finally, some suggestions are presented for improving energy consumption and reduction of costs and losses. The results show that using the CHP system with the help of a diesel generator in the company improves the total cost by 39.07 percent in comparison with the generation of electricity and heat separately.

Nowadays, the integration of renewable energy sources, as distributed generation, into power systems is accelerated, and the corresponding technological development is evolving at a frantic pace. The power industry is going to reach a turning point for increasing the penetration of these sources due to concerns pertaining to climate changes and worldwide ever-growing demand for energy. The pervasive renewable energy in small-scale poses new challenges for operators to manage an abundant number of small-scale generation sources, called microsources. The current banking structures are unable to handle such massive high-frequency transactions. Thus, the incorporation of cryptocurrencies is inevitable. Besides, the utilization of IoT-enabled devices produces a large body of data that must be securely transferred, stored, processed, and managed to boost the grid's observability, controllability, and autonomy. Artificial intelligence and big data techniques should be used to analyze the data for quasi-real-time decision making. This study delves into the aforementioned controversial challenges and opportunities, and the corresponding solutions for the incorporation of IoT and blockchain in power systems, particularly in the distribution level, residential section, smart buildings, smart homes, energy hubs schemes, and the management of residential electric vehicle supply equipment are addressed.

In this chapter, an overview of hybrid renewable energy systems is made. The different hybrid renewable energy systems are presented with the different configurations and architectures. In general, hybridization consists of combining several energy sources and storage units within the same system in order to optimize the production and energy management. In review papers, they can be found under the following names: hybrid renewable energy sources (HRESs) or multi-source multi-storage systems (MSMSSs). Wind and photovoltaic sources are one of the cleaner forms of energy conversion available. One of the advantages offered by the hybridization of different sources is to provide sustainable electricity in areas not served by the conventional power grid. They are used in many applications, but due to their nonlinearity, hybrid energy systems are proposed to overcome this problem with important improvements. The most used systems in the scientific literature are presented and then studied under MATLAB/Simulink. Readers are encouraged to use these schemes to test each example before making the control, and the supervision of HRESs is explained in Chapter 6.

In this chapter, the most used MPPT methods in photovoltaic and wind turbine systems are presented. The most used control technique in optimization consists in acting on the duty cycle automatically to place the generator at its optimal value whatever the variations of the metrological conditions or sudden changes in loads which can occur at any time. In general, there are two types of these algorithms: classical and advanced. For each method presented, it is given different details as the concept, the principle, the algorithm, the flowchart, blocks schemes under MATLAB/Simulink and for some methods an application with obtained results in MATLAB/Simulink. A comparison between different MPPT methods is made. At the end of the chapter, an overview of some important proprieties of the most used MPPT methods for Photovoltaic and wind systems has been summarized in different tables. An accent is given on Global Maximum Power Point Tracking (GMPPT) techniques of photovoltaic system under partial shading conditions. Readers are encouraged to use these algorithms to test each example.

بار برودتی نرخ گرمایی است که باید از محیط خارج شود تا دما و رطوبت محیط حفظ شود. دمای هوای بیرون، رطوبت، تعداد افراد در محل از جمله پارامترهایی است که در محاسبات بار سرمایی تاثیر دارند. تعیین دقیق تک تک این پارامترها معمولا امری دشوار است. بسیاری از این بارها در طول شبانه روز متفاوت اندبا توجه به عدم قطعیت در تعیین بارهای سرمایشی ابتدا پارامترهای تاثیر گذار را طبقه بندی کنیم. این پارامترها در دو طبقه دسته بندی می شوند قابل کنترل و غیر قابل کنترل.با استفاده از اطلاعات شرکت گلدیران و کولرگازی اینورتردار LG ، برآورد هزینه استفاده از این کولرها به جای کولرهای معمولی محاسبه شده است که کاهش مصرف برابر 3000 MW است لذا از ساخت یک نیروگاه تقریبا 0 GW جلوگیری می شود. اگر هزینه هر kW نیروگاه سیکل ترکیبی 073 یورو (2 میلیون تومان بر کیلووات) فرض شود، هزینه کل ساخت یک نیروگاه 0 GW حدود 1.410 میلیون یورو ( 5.640 میلیارد تومان) خواهد شد.با توجه به نتایج، با تقبل قسمتی از هزینه خرید کمپرسورهای برودت VFD ، حدود 19.16 % در مصرف انرژی صرفه جوی می شود که این امر هم به نفع مشتریان و هم به نفع دولت خواهد بود

Abstract - The first and most important point in choosing a washing machine is considering the standard and rating of its energy label. This product is used at least once or twice a week. Also due to the availability of water and electricity in this device, the product is very important for its standard requirements. In this paper, we will briefly examine the energy consumption of washing machines and the specifications of its home appliances. In the home appliance industry, the EU Energy Labeling Commission has required the revision of the energy rating, and since January 2010 it has published a new European Energy Labeling Label, in which the Energy Label Requirements for the Commercial Sector And industrial as well as domestic. The new energy label information from Europe, which is the main reference for the development and implementation of energy labels in our country, and the changes made to this label are related to previous editions of the washing machine product.

Abstract— In an electricity market, every generation company (GENCO) attempts to maximize profit according to other participants bidding behaviors and power systems operating conditions. Also, for the purposes of increasing economic profit, energy efficient combined heat and power (CHP) units can be integrated with conventional separate heat and power production units to meet heat and power demands. The goal of this study is to examine the optimal bidding strategy problem for GENCOs with CHP-thermal-heat only system in energy market based on a heuristic optimization algorithm. The heuristic optimization algorithm used in this study is successfully applied for validation and, it is determined that the heuristic optimization algorithm improves profits of a GENCO by 4.15-47.95% and 20.84-31.30% in single-sided and doublesided auctions, respectively. Also, the utilization of CHP units results in higher profit in single and double-sided auctions.

Abstract - The first and most important point in choosing a washing machine is considering the standard and rating of its energy label. This product is used at least once or twice a week. Also due to the availability of water and electricity in this device, the product is very important for its standard requirements. In this paper, we will briefly examine the energy consumption of washing machines and the specifications of its home appliances. In the home appliance industry, the EU Energy Labeling Commission has required the revision of the energy rating, and since January 2010 it has published a new European Energy Labeling Label, in which the Energy Label Requirements for the Commercial Sector And industrial as well as domestic. The new energy label information from Europe, which is the main reference for the development and implementation of energy labels in our country, and the changes made to this label are related to previous editions of the washing machine product.

در این مقاله تاثیر قیمت برق بر عملکرد کوتاه مدت سیستم ترکیبی باد- - PV بررسی شده است. بدین منظور ابتدا به فرمول بندی توان توربین بادی و PV پرداخته شده و سپس تابع هدف و قیود مسیله بیان شده است. نتایج شبیه سازی در حالتهای مختلف برای نمایش تاثیر باتری ارایه شده است. نتایج نشان می دهد که باتری نقش تعیین کننده ای در کاهش هزینه ) 1.21 تا 56.89 ( و افزایش استفاده از منابع تجدیدپذیر دارد و میزان استفاده از منابع تجدیدپذیر را افزایش دهند. همچنین واحدهای حرارتی می توانند هزینه برق شبکه را تا حد زیادی کاهش دهند.

As flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) have come to maturity, major advances have been made in the field of power system dynamic stability and low frequency oscillation damping. Interline power flow controllers (IPFC) and static var compensators (SVC) members of FACT devices family which are used to, respectively, realize optimal power flow over transmission lines and inject reactive power to transmission lines for maintaining voltage magnitude. In this paper, following to the modeling of a single-machine infinite bus system equipped with IPFC and SVC, a power system stabilizer (PSS), without FACT devices controller, is designed. After selecting the most effectual IPFC control signal, with the use of residue theory, a coordinated control design of IPFC and SVC in absence of PSS is carried out. Moreover, the parameters of proposed controllers are optimized using imperialist competitive algorithm. A microgrid is associated with a low voltage distribution power network and inherits small modular generation systems and loads that have certain coordinated functions to provide the solution to supply premium power to remote or specific areas. Similar to conventional power systems, the energy management of distributed generation resources (DERs) is carried out to minimize the operation cost and maximize benefit of installation of DERS in a microgrid. This paper presents the process of implementing the short-term DER scheduling function for a dc microgrid. The optimal scheduling results for two operation modes are then reported.

In the energy management of the isolated operation of small power system, the economic scheduling of the generation units is a crucial problem. Applying right timing can maximize the performance of the supply. The optimal operation of a wind turbine, a solar unit, a fuel cell and a storage battery is searched by a mixed-integer linear programming implemented in General Algebraic Modeling Systems (GAMS). A Virtual Power Producer (VPP) can optimal operate the generation units, assured the good functioning of equipment, including the maintenance, operation cost and the generation measurement and control. A central control at system allows a VPP to manage the optimal generation and their load control. The application of methodology to a real case study in Budapest Tech, demonstrates the effectiveness of this method to solve the optimal isolated dispatch of the DC micro-grid renewable energy park. The problem has been converged in 0.09 s and 30 iterations.

The RFID technology is now widely used and combined with everyday life. RFID Tag is a wireless device used to identify individuals and objects, in fact, it is a combination of the chip and antenna that sends the necessary information to an RFID Reader. On the other hand, an RFID Reader converts received radio waves into digital information and then provides facilities such as sending data to the computer and processing them. Radio frequency identification is a comprehensive processing technology that has led to a revolution in industry and medicine as an alternative to commercial barcodes. RFID Tag is used to tracking commodities and personal assets in the chain stores and even the human body and medical science. However, security and privacy problems have not yet been solved satisfactorily. There are many technical and economic challenges in this direction. In this paper, some of the latest technical research on privacy and security problems has been investigated in radio-frequency identification and security bit method, and it has been shown that in order to achieve this level of individual security, multiple technologies of RFID security development should combine with each other. These solutions should be cheap, efficient, reliable, flexible and long-term. As global fuel reserves are depleted, alternative and more efficient forms of energy generation and delivery will be required. Combined Heat and Power with District Heating (CHP-DH) provides an alternative energy production and delivery mechanism that is less resource intensive, more energy efficient and provides greater energy security than many popular alternatives independent power generation system composed of distributed generation units, loads, energy storages and control devices. To fulfill the power demands of the electricity users in a specific area, multiple CHP-DH participate as electricity sellers in the power market. In this power market, different users have different impacts on the price strategies of the CHP-DH. We consider the demand response management of multiple users and multiple CHP-DH with different and overlapping sales areas. By constructing a Stackelberg game model between the CHP-DH and the users, we analyze the optimal price strategies for the CHP-DH and the optimal demand strategies for the users in a systematic way. We prove that there is a unique Stackelberg equilibrium solution for the game, including the associated equilibrium prices and demand strategies for the CHP-DH and users, respectively.

The use of combined heat and power generation system (CHP); generally will increase the system efficiency and thus cut the cost of production. In order for the feasibility of using CHP in the power distribution company in Tehran province, the energy audit of manufacturing based in the Tehran was carried out. For this purpose, first; long-term and short-term energy consumption data are collected and then energy is fully audited in the site. The specifications of all equipment, maps, dimensions and equipment layout are among the most important measures have been done. Energy audit makes a detailed analysis of energy consumption details and finally, some suggestions are presented for improving energy consumption and reduction of costs and losses. The results show that using the CHP system with the help of a diesel generator in the company improves the total cost by 39.07 percent in comparison with the generation of electricity and heat separately.

Microgrids are low voltage intelligent distribution networks comprising various distributed energy resource (DER) which can be operated as interconnected to the main distribution grid or as islanded if it is disconnected from the main distributed grid. The objective of this study is optimal scheduling of a hybrid wind-PV-diesel microgrid system with considerations for battery energy storage and uncertainty of renewable energy resource. To do this, a hybrid wind-PV-diesel system is fully modeled with considerations for battery as energy storage system. Also, the uncertainty associated with wind and PV power is considered and the simulation results are presented for two cases. In the first case, without diesel generators, it is shown that hybrid wind-PV system can meet demand and battery is successfully compensate the uncertainty of wind and PV power. In another case, total cost of hybrid system is deceased by using diesel and battery instead of buying power from grid.

هزینه انرژی در ایران یارانه سنگینی را بر دولت تحمیل می¬کند. به همین دلیل سرانه مصرف انرژی در ایران خیلی نزدیک به سطح اتحادیه اروپا است. در این مقاله اثرات رفاه اجتماعی حاصل از تلاش برای بالا بردن قیمت انرژی به سطح جهانی مورد بررسی قرار می¬گیرد. اصلاح قیمت انرژی یک فاکتور بسیار مهم در نقشه بهسازی اقتصاد ایران است. در ابتدا ما رابطه بین قیمت¬های مصرف انرژی، انرژی و غیر¬انرژی را که بوسیله توابع مصرف خانوار تخمین زده می¬شود را مورد بررسی قرار می¬دهیم. نتایج نشان می¬دهد که قیمت انرژی بالاتر، مصرف انرژی خانوارهای ایرانی را کاهش خواهد داد و این امر تلثیر بازار برق بر روی رفاه اجتماعی را بیان میکند. در مرحله دوم ما فشار حاصل از افزایش قیمت انرژی را بر روی رفاه خانواده¬ها بوسیله اندازه¬گیری اختلاف یارانه در 5 مرحله مورد بررسی قرار می¬دهیم. نتایج نشان می¬دهد که اگر دولت ایران 20 تا 50 درصد از 20 بیلیون دلار درآمد حاصل از حذف یارانه¬های انرژی را پرداخت کند، حتی با افزایش 100 یا 200 درصدی در قیمت انرژی، باز هم رفاه خانوارهای ایرانی افزایش خواهد یافت. از طرفی اگر دولت 20 یا 30 درصد از 20 بیلیون دلار درآمد خود را پرداخت کند، با افزایش 400 یا 500 درصدی در قیمت¬های انرژی، رفاه خانوارهای ایرانی کاهش می¬یابد

در این مقاله سیستم¬های آبگرمکن و گرمایش خورشیدی به لحاظ فنی و اقتصادی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته و سیستم¬های مناسبی برای چهار اقلیم سرد، گرم و خشک، معتدل و مرطوب و گرم پیشنهاد شده است .همچنین یکی از موثرترین راه¬های کاهش تولید گازهای گلخانه¬ای به حساب می¬آید. استفاده از این انرژی پاک به دلیل عدم احتیاج به سوخت های فسیلی باعث کاهش آلاینده¬ها می¬باشد. بررسی¬های انجام¬شده نشان می¬دهد که طراحی و ساخت این گونه تجهیزات، با توجه به ساختار صنعتی و توانایی¬های کارشناسی در مقیاس انبوه و با توجیه اقتصادی در داخل کشور امکان¬پذیر است. از آنجا که برآورد هزینه¬ها و ارزیابی اقتصادی سیستم¬های خورشیدی نیازمند داشتن اطلاعات کامل در زمینه ابعاد سیستم و تجهیزات مربوطه می¬باشد، ابتدا بار حرارتی لازم سیستم¬ها در مناطق چهار¬گانه فوق بر اساس داده¬های موجود برآورد شده است و سپس با استفاده از یک مدل مناسب، سهم سالیانه انرژی خورشیدی در تامین گرمایش و آبگرم خورشیدی در مناطق مربوطه برای مساحت¬های مختلف کلکتور¬ های خورشیدی مشخص گردیده است. واژگان كليدي: سیستم گرمایش خورشیدی، آبگرمکن خورشیدی، برآورد اقتصادی، کلکتور خورشیدی، انتشار آلاینده¬های زیست محیطی

This paper considers the operation scheduling problem in renewable-powered microgrids, which is used to determine the least-cost unit commitment (UC) and the associated dispatch, while meeting load, environmental, and system operating requirements. The intermittency nature of the renewable energy sources, as well as microgrid's capacity to operate either in parallel with, or autonomously of, the traditional power grid, pose new challenges to this classic optimization task. A probability-based concept, probability of self-sufficiency (PSS), is introduced to indicate the probability that the microgrid is capable of meeting local demand in a self-sufficient manner. Furthermore, to the best of our knowledge, we make the first attempt in approaching the mixed-integer UC problem from a convex optimization perspective, which leads to an analytical closed-form characterization of the optimal commitment and dispatch solutions. The simulation results show that 1) the proposed method achieves an efficient performance that incurs no loss of optimality with lower complexity than existing algorithms; 2) an energy storage system (ESS) with suitable capacity contributes to the self-sufficiency target of a microgrid, and the stored energy varies less remarkably as the microgrid tends to operate more independently; 3) the proposed method provides guidelines in deciding the ESS size to achieve a desired PSS.

This paper presents a short term scheduling scheme for multiple grid-parallel PEM fuel cell power plants (FCPPs) connected to supply electrical and thermal energy to a microgrid community. As in the case of regular power plants, short term scheduling of FCPP is also a cost-based optimization problem that includes the cost of operation, thermal power recovery, and the power trade with the local utility grid. Due to the ability of the microgrid community to trade power with the local grid, the power balance constraint is not applicable, other constraints like the real power operating limits of the FCPP, and minimum up and down time are therefore used. To solve the short term scheduling problem of the FCPPs, a hybrid technique based on evolutionary programming (EP) and hill climbing technique (HC) is used. The EP is used to estimate the optimal schedule and the output power from each FCPP. The HC technique is used to monitor the feasibility of the solution during the search process. The short term scheduling problem is used to estimate the schedule and the electrical and thermal power output of five FCPPs supplying a maximum power of 300 kW.

The optimal generation scheduling is one of the important functions for the Microgrid operation. This paper describes a three-step efficient method for the optimal generation scheduling of a Microgrid in island operation. The first step of the method is to set up an initial feasible solution for thermal unit commitment and the next step is to solve the thermal unit commitment problem. The final step is to optimize the renewable-thermal dispatch based on thermal unit commitment results. Solving the thermal unit commitment problem has more opportunity to minimize the operating cost. Therefore, few algorithms such as Lagrangian relaxation, genetic algorithm and a hybrid algorithm of Lagrangian relaxation and genetic algorithm have been used to find the least operating cost. Microgrid which is considered in the case study, consists of a PV system, a wind plant, 10 thermal units and a battery bank.

This paper proposes a multi-agent system for energy resource scheduling of an islanded power system with distributed resources, which consists of integrated microgrids and lumped loads. Distributed intelligent multi-agent technology is applied to make the power system more reliable, efficient and capable of exploiting and integrating alternative sources of energy. The algorithm behind the proposed energy resource scheduling has three stages. The first stage is to schedule each microgrid individually to satisfy its internal demand. The next stage involves finding the best possible bids for exporting power to the network and compete in a whole sale energy market. The final stage is to reschedule each microgrid individually to satisfy the total demand, which is the addition of internal demand and the demand from the results of the whole sale energy market simulation. The simulation results of a power system with distributed resources comprising three microgrids and five lumped loads show that the proposed multi-agent system allows efficient management of micro-sources with minimum operational cost. The case studies demonstrate that the system is successfully monitored, controlled and operated by means of the developed multi-agent system.
