We studied home-range size, habitat-use, habitat preferences, and their relationships with fruit availability by a family of Salvin's Curassows (Mitu salvini) between January and July 1999 at Tinigua National Park in the northwestern Colombian Amazon. We followed the group closely throughout the day, registering its activities, the time spent in each habitat, and the trajectory traveled.
