Abstract

Ecologically and economically friendly soil fertilization techniques, such as incorporating diverted municipal solid waste (MSW) compost, could represent an effective strategy for achieving restoration of degraded areas through enhanced revegetation, and the establishment of self-sustaining native plant communities .
