Wpływ mediów cyfrowych na funkcjonowanie współczesnych rodzin (The Influence of Digital Media on Contemporary Families’ Life)

Abstract

Przemiany ery płynnej nowoczesności implikują wiele zagrożeń dla prawidłowego funkcjonowania rodzin. Dotyczy to m.in. uzależnień behawioralnych od mediów cyfrowych, np. telewizji, Internetu, tabletów, telefonów komórkowych. Efektem tym zmian jest także rewolucja społeczna zauważalna w postaci coraz bardziej rozbitej i małej strukturze rodziny, systemie materialnych wartości, kulcie sukcesu i ciała. Zadanie rodziny by wychować i wykształcić dzieci jest z tego powodu w dzisiejszych czasach coraz trudniejsze i mniej efektywne.

Transformation of the liquid modernity age implicate many threats for the proper functioning of families. It concerns inter alia behavioral addictions related to digital media, e.g. TV, Internet, tablets, mobile phones. The result of those changes is the social revolution noticed as the smaller and unstable family structure, a system of material values, a culture of achievement and a perfect body. The family task for upbringing and educating the children is therefore more difficult and less effective these days.
