Problem To produce anodes for thermally activated batteries , it is necessary to obtain lithium-boride (Li-B) matrix [1]. When we put boron powder in liquid lithium, due to the difference in density, the concentration in the bottom area is greater. A good tool is electromagnetic stirring [2, 3], which allows to get a uniform impurity distribution. Moreover, the Li-B reaction causes the realization of heat and it is necessary to remove it. In this article, we consider how to improve heat removal by changing the geometry of the vessel from a simple cylinder to an elliptical, as well as analyze how this affects on the stirring efficiency.
