Datos ecológicos para Coilodes castanea (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Hybosorinae)

This article is the only responsibility of Daniela Havranek. I add it in my profile because she was my co-worker. Since 1980, both periodic and sporadic surveys have been carried out to obtain information on insects with coprophagous and necrophagous habits in the Táchira and Mérida states. Through the review of national collections, more information was obtained on the geographical distribution of the species; data are added that include for the first time the Brazilian territory, the altitudinal distribution of this species until now known is located between 140 and 2500 msnm.

Nineteen species of the order Coleoptera listed in the Red Data Book of Lithuania (2007) are known to exist on the territory of the Kaliningrad Region: 17 of them were recorded in the Kaliningrad Region during the investigation conducted by the author in 1989–2009, while the presence of two other species in the region is known only from oral reports. Coleopteros coprófagos y necrófagos (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae) del Táchira, Venezuela.

Since 1980 in the State of Táchira direct sampling, sampling with a Robinson mercury vapour trap and baited pit-fall traps (meat and dung) have been used to collect necrophagous and coprophagous scarab beetles. The catalogue of the family Scarabaeidae (Coleoptera), of Coprophagous and Necrophagous beetles, with 11 genera, 14 species, 1 new subspecie and 18 species identified to genera only lists four tribes Eurysternini, Scarabaeini, Coprini, and Onthophagini. All these species were collected by the autor in the state of Táchira, Venezuela.

Seven species of ladybirds were identified during surveys carried out in 2014 in the Hawaiian Islands. The capture of Brumoides suturalis (Fabricius) is its first record for the island of Hawai'i.
