Abstract

Alaska Arctic is America's fourth coastline and with less sea-ice each year, the emerging coastline is open to vulnerabilities that have not been experienced with. The increasing interest in the Arctic Polar Region is of geopolitical significance for the United States, Russia, Iceland, Scandinavian countries and the thousands of indigenous people that live up there.
