Abstract

Induction heating has been utilized to ignited the Self-Propagating High-Temperature Synthesis of Ti-Si-C(3:1:2 molar ratio)and Ti-Si-C-Al(3:1:2:0.1 molar ratio)and SiC ceramics was joined by the induction heated combustion synthesis. From the perspective of the effect of processing parameters on the relative contents of Ti3SiC2 phase in the synthesized products, the optimized processing parameters were preliminarily obtained: induction heating current of 50 A,holding current of 30 A for 30 minutes and joining pressure of 1 MPa. The shear strength of SiC/TSC/SiC and SiC/TSC-Al/SiC joints obtained by the optimized processing parameters were 32.9 and 66.8 MPa, respectively. The results of microstructural and component analysis showed that no obvious pores or cracks were detected from the SiC/TSC/SiC and SiC/TSC-Al/SiC interfaces. The results from XRD analysis revealed that the synthesized products mainly consisted of Ti3SiC2, little of TiC and Ti-Si compounds in the SiC/TSC-Al/SiC joint. And the contents of TiC phase were dominant in the SiC/TSC/SiC joint, which resulted in the average shear strength of the SiC/TSC-Al/SiC joint more than twice of the SiC/TSC/SiC joint. © 2018, Editorial Board of Transactions of the China Welding Institution, Magazine Agency Welding. Chapter
The welding process of RF connector based on high frequency induction heating was studied by means of numerical simulation of multi-physical field coupling and experiment methods. The distribution of inductive magnetic field, inductive current and temperature field are analyzed. The effects of copper wire radius, coil radius, current frequency, coil current, coil turns and coil-to-shell distance on the heating temperature are analyzed emphatically. The parameter optimization were carried out and verified by experiment. The results show that the copper wire radius and coil radius have little influence on heating temperature. The induction heating temperature increases with the increase of coil turns, coil current and current frequency, and the decrease of coil-to-shell distance. According to the results of stereo microscope and X-ray examination, when the frequency is 800 kHz, the current is 550 A, the distance between coil and shell is 1.5 mm, and the number of coil turns is 2, Sn63Pb37 solder can melt rapidly, filling the solder slot and assembly gap, forming a good combination between RF connector and shell.
