This paper will look at the usage of ICT for Education it's various forms and requirement of learners in the 21st Century. The paper will also analyze the ICT indicators in International and National policies for technology in Education-National Education. Based on the ICT for Education Cases from India the paper will discuss how should an education system structure itself to meet new challenges and take advantage of new opportunities related to the use of ICTs, and what roles and responsibilities could/should a dedicated ICT/education agency or unit play. Some of the key issues facing educators and policymakers today will be cited.
