The e-Choupal is one of such innovative ICT initiatives started in India by ITC Limited, a private sector corporate business major in India. First, it was established at Hoshangabad (M.P.) in June 2000 and till date more than 6500 e-Choupal is functioning in 10 states of India; it provides farmers with information about latest market price of crop, up-to-date information on weather, a provision to sell crop harvest directly to the buyers, and sharing of good farming practices through its network. The biggest challenge of e-Choupal has been to first make people familiar with the concept of internet based services delivery right at the doorstep of farmers. Though this system has proved to be one of the successful ICT initiatives in India, even after its fourteen years of existence farmers have different attitude towards the services provided by e-Choupal, therefore the present study was undertaken with an objective to study the farmer's attitudes towards e-Choupal in Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh.
