Combined Cycle Performance: A Review
Abstract
The combined cycle is a device used to produce electrical energy from water vapor. The cycle performance depends on the operating conditions and the technology used. In this article, we will identify the interaction between the different variables. An evaluation of the quality of the recovered purge water was carried out.
Air compression is a very common operation in industrial applications. The performance of the operation depends on the operating conditions and the compression technology. In this article, an analysis of the compression process was analyzed. The key factors that affect energy consumption have been identified. A system simulation has been realized. The difference between experimental and theoretical results is acceptable. As a result, the established model is efficient.
The boiler is a device for converting the energy contained in the fuel into useful heat energy. Its optimal operation requires the identification of operating parameters and periodic maintenance. In this article, we have carried out a boiler operation optimization study and a description of the maintenance operations required. The simulation of the operation made it possible to estimate the saving of energy and the realized profit.
Energy, in all its forms, is the main factor of operation of any industrial process. Hence its optimal management is required. In this article, a study of energy consumption in a refinery was conducted. This study includes energy consumption centers ranked in descending order of importance. Conversions from one form of energy to another have been elucidated. Optimal management ratios have been calculated. Energy saving actions has been proposed.

The gap between theoretical and experimental results is acceptable. As a result, the validity of the realized model has been confirmed.

Its effectiveness depends on operational and technological variables. In this article, a simulation of the compressed air production workshop was carried out. The realized model aims at the optimization of the operating parameters.
