1. Introduction
The genus Yp s o l o pha is the largest group of the
family Ypsolophidae comprising over 160 described
species worldwide (Jin et al., 2013). The Yps o l o pha
has a worldwide distribution mainly temperate areas,
with high diversity in East-Asia including Far-East
Russia. Especially, 60 species are recorded with 21
new species in China (Jin et al., 2013). Japan has
recorded a total 22 species with one unidentified
species (Yamauchi & Hirowatari, 2013). As a recent
research results (Sohn et al., 2010, Ponomarenko et
al., 2011, Ponomarenko & Zinchenko, 2013), the
genus Yp s o l oph a has been reported 23 species in Far
East Russia. In Korea, study on the genus Yp s o l oph a
has been carry out by those researchers: Park (1983),
Byun & Park (2001), Byun & Bae (2001), Sohn et al.
(2010), Ponomarenko et al. (2011). Park et al. (2014),
Na et al. (2016a, b). Up to now, total 19 species of
this genus reported in Korea.
Ypso l o p ha Latreille can be distinguished by the
following character combination: i) forewing elongate
with round or falcate at apex; ii) labial palpus with
well tuft on ventral surface of second segment; iii)
gnathos of male genitalia long, shape as like a tongue
with granulate ventrally; iv) signum of female genitalia
band shaped with one or two transverse ridge.
In the present study, we report one species Yps o l o ph a
leuconotella (Snellen) from Korea for the first time.
Korean checklist of the genus is provided (Table 1).
2. Materials and Methods
Specimens examined are based on the materials
collected in whole country, Korea. The specimens
were collected using by the light traps with a mercury
vapor lamp (200V/200W) and four lamps (FL20SbL
Kumbo). Genitalia were dissect and examined under a
Leica EZ4 stereo-microscope. Images of adults and
genitalia were taken with a Nikon D700 digital
camera attached to a Nikon AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor
105 mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens and a Leica DM 2500
microscope attached with Leica ICC50 E. Voucher
specimens are deposited in the Animal Diversity
Laboratory, College of Life Sciences, Incheon National
University, Korea. Abbreviations used herein are as
follows; TL-type locality; GW-Gwangwon-do.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to Ypso l o p h a
vittella Linnaeus. But it can be distinguished by the
color of irregular patch on dorsum margin in forewing.
Adult (Fig. 1). Wingspan, 23 mm. Vertex rough,
with beige, elongate narrow scales, frons white,
brown scales around compound eye; ocellus present.
Antenna filiform; white, ringed with brown. Labial
palpus porrect, pointed terminally; tuft on ventral
surface of second segment pale brown outside and
beige inside. Thorax white; tegula brown. Foreleg
ochereous gray; midleg and hindleg ocherous white.
Forewing with apex acutely produced, ground color
brown; white transverse irregular line from 1/3 base to
tornus, continued to 2/3 costal line upwardly, sprinked
brown and darkish brown scales; cilia pale darkish
brown. Hindwing grayish pale brown, cilia ocherous
gray. Abdomen didn’t observed.
Male genitalia (Figs. 2, 2a-b, 3, 3a) Socius as long
as saccus, pointed at apex. Uncus flat. Valva elongate-
ovate, 2 times as long as saccus. Gnathos spoon
shaped with granulate. Annellus rectangular with
rough bristle. Saccus about same length of socius.
Adeagus slightly broad, little curved at middle, about
2 times as long as length of valva, cornuti two rows
comprosed by small spinules.
Female genitalia. Unknown in Korea (Details see
in Moriuti, 1977).

AbstractTwo new species of the genus Ypsolopha Latreille, 1796 are described from Far East of Russia: Ypsolopha melanofuscella sp. n. and Ypsolopha straminella sp. n. Two new synomymies are proposed: Ypsolopha ulingensis Yang, 1977, a new junior synonym of Ypsolopha costibasella (Caradja, 1939); and Cerostoma falculella Erschoff, 1877, a new junior synonym of Ypsolopha asperella Linnaeus, 1761. The species Ypsolopha costibasella Caradja, 1939, Ypsolopha nigrofasciata Yang, 1977 and Ypsolopha nigrimaculata Byun et Park, 2001 are recorded from Far East of Russia for the first time. The male genitalia of Ypsolopha nigrofasciata are described and illustrated for the first time, diagnostic genital characters are given.

Japanese species, Ypsolopha fujimotoi Moriuti, 1964 is reported from Korea for the first time. Additionally, the female of Ypsolopha fujimotoi Moriuti is newly described. Article
Three new species of Ypsolopha Latreille are described from East Asia: Y. helva Sohn et Wu, n. sp., Y. sordida Sohn et Wu, n. sp., both from China; Y. pseudoparallela Sohn et Ponomarenko, n. sp. from Japan. Redescription of Y. contractella (Caradja), a poorly known species, is given with the first illustrations of genitalia of both species. The new combination, Ypsolopha diana (Caradja), transferred from Cerostoma, is proposed. Exclusion of Cerostoma xenicopis Meyrick from Ypsolopha is suggested with notes of its lectotype. The following new synonyms are proposed: Ypsolopha hebeiensis Yang, 1977 syn. n. = Y. leuconotella (Snellen, 1884); Ypsolopha affinitella (Staudinger, 1892) syn. n. = Y. dentella (Fabricius, 1775). Eight species are newly reported from China: Ypsolopha acuminata (Butler), Y. cristata Moriuti, Y. dentella (Fabricius), Y. japonica Moriuti, Y. nemorella (Linnaeus), Y. parenthesella (Linnaeus), Y. satellitella (Staudinger) and Y. yasudai Moriutu; two species are new to China and Korea, Y. amoenella (Christoph) and Y. asperella (Linnaeus); Y. contractella (Caradja) is new to Japan, Korea and China. A checklist of 42 species of Ypsolopha recorded from East Asia is provided.
