Pre-graduating medical students’ interest in rural internship

Abstract
Results of a survey of Western Australian pre-graduation medical students of their interest in undertaking a rural intern rotation upon graduation. Whilst rural origin, rural experience in undergraduate degree (Rural Clinical School) and membership of rural student club were disproportionately represented in the sample, a very high proportion of those surveyed were interested in a rural intern rotation.

