Abstract

In 2003, the author presented the paper 'Beyond Huelva' at the International Mining History Congress, Japan. The paper attempted to emphasise the importance of other British mining operations in Andalusia beyond the significant pyrites mines in Huelva Province. This paper will continue the theme and examine the logistics problem that had to be overcome by British mining companies in Andalusia to achieve success.
