The sample of the study was the females who were admitted to the outpatient clinic between the dates of January 1, 2008 and March 31, 2008. A questionnaire that includes questions about the risk factors of cervix cancer and HPV vaccination was applied to 471 females who accepted to participate to the study. Results: Most of the participants (83.8%) were between 15 and 49-year age group. It was noted that 52.2% visited outpatient clinic once a year, 92.6% heard the name of cervix cancer, 53.5% received information about cervix cancer. Participants mentioned that they received this information via media (42.9%) and this information was not sufficient (72.6%). There were statistically significant correlations between the education level of females and their regular visits to outpatient clinic (x2 = 5.419, p<0.02), knowing Pap Smear test (x2 = 96.484, p<0.001) and giving sample for Pap Smear test (x2 = 21.697, p<0.001), knowing cervix cancer (x 2 = 59.892, p<0.001), knowing HPV vaccination (x2 = 77.160, p<0.001). Conclusion: The results of this study show that most of the female has not information about risk factors of cervix cancer and HPV vaccination from the media. Additionally, increased level of education strongly correlates with their knowledge on cervix cancer, risk factors and HPV vaccination. It is important that female should be informed about this issue for their and their family members' health to be able to have a more healthy and well-informed future generations.
