The 5th edition of the Computer Art Congress took place at "Maison des sciences de l’homme Paris Nord", organized by the Citu-Paragraphe research team at Université de Paris 8 in partnership with the University of Michigan, the University of Hong Kong and the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. The selected topic for this edition is “archiving and questioning immateriality”. CAC.5 called for contributions interested in reflecting on the artwork as a material object, but also invited to consider the complex processes that surround a work of art. In this respect, the artwork can be regarded from the emotional and intellectual effects that it triggers. Such effects can be deployed from small teams to the entire world via networked technologies and distributed exhibition spaces. However, the Internet and electronic devices have proven to be less stable and long-lasting than they seemed. How should we deal with artworks if we take into account their multidimensional nature: temporal, spatial, exploratory, communicational, collaborative?

Experiencing service leadership through collective and interdisciplinary efforts

Because Hong Kong is a service economy, employers are continually looking for potential employees who can provide added-value services for and bring competitive advantage to organizations. To prepare university graduates in the workforce with professional knowledge and skills, educators need to provide opportunities for their students to develop a proactive attitude towards work and life through ... [Show full abstract] serving and experiencing leadership in the curriculum. Although it is common for these students to perceive leadership as an act by a leader in a functional context, they need to be challenged about this conception and be ready to experience service leadership in their university study. While courses in general education can offer multiple opportunities for students to develop broadening knowledge as foundation for study in majors, students can experience leadership through the dynamic interactions with peers who are studying different disciplines. However, effective leadership by individuals may not happen despite people working in groups. More importantly, educators need to simulate a productive working environment in which students are provided with challenges through which they can demonstrate leadership skills, i.e. taking responsibility to perform proactively, gaining heightened awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses, and building skills in empowering one another. In this paper, the authors discuss how students developed service leadership skills through taking a GE course, 'Leadership in Sustainability'. This course aimed to allow students to decipher the importance of leadership practised by sustainability leaders in the corporate world. Students were exposed to the need to be both ethical and responsible, and be prepared to become change agents as they were challenged to develop critical strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. To experience about this, students studying from different disciplinary background forming in groups were arranged to work collaboratively to meet the challenge and demonstrate both leadership and followership in a one-day outdoor leadership challenge. Second, they were challenged to provide solutions that could create long-term value and sustainability for an organization through studying cases. In addition, corporate partnerships were sought to provide authentic learning experiences where students could learn about sustainability practice through first-hand visits and data gathering as they investigated sustainable practices. By the end of the course, students were provided not simply with knowledge on sustainability practices as being leaders in the future, but they were also embedded with the crucial elements in service leadership through which they could develop a deeper sense of responsibility, workplace ethics and the need to care for communities.

International air network structures and air traffic density of world cities

This paper examines international air passenger and cargo flows within and among Asia, Europe, and America, and the degree of air traffic density for major cities worldwide, using a basic gravity model composed of GDP, population, distance, and several dummy variables.
