Research on landscape planning and design based on computer aided design

Abstract

The emergence of the digital age has revolutionized urban planning and landscape design. Computer-aided design has been applied throughout the entire design process and has allowed designers to showcase their unlimited imagination. Designers can also use relevant design software to carefully examine their work so as to enhance competency. This study explored landscape planning and design based on computer-aided design. First, the concept of virtual reality technology was introduced. Then, the advantages of the virtual reality technology-assisted landscape planning and design were investigated. Next, the application of virtual reality technology in every stage of landscape architecture design was presented. Finally, the actual design process of landscape planning based on computeraided design was realized. Experimental results show that the application of computer-aided design in landscape architecture is instrumental to the rich expression of landscape design.
