Diasystematic Construction Grammar | Diasystematische Konstruktionsgrammatik (DCxG)

DCxG is a construction grammar approach to language contact phenomena, based on the application of usage-based CxG to contact situations. The main objective is modelling multilinguals' grammar in a socio-cognitively realistic way, which is achieved by combining language-specific constructions with ones that are not associated with one particular language in a contact situation. Das Projekt erarbeitet Bausteine einer linguistisch fundierten Fachdidaktik für den schulischen Dänischunterricht in Schleswig-Holstein. Grammatische Arealität in Nordeuropa und Norddeutschland | Grammatical Areality in the Nordic Countries and Northern Germany (GrammArNord)

GrammArNord analyses areal and contact linguistic relationships between Nordic and (North) German varieties from an areal and contact linguistic perspective. The aim is to develop an areal-linguist ic database that includes languages and varieties in Northern Europe and Northern Germany with a focus on geotemporal referencing. This allows grammatical features to be analysed in their distribution in what is conceptualised as multidimensional communicative space and described in detail with regard to relevant contact linguistic scenarios. The implementation of emotional intelligence in English classes showed several conclusion in terms of facilitating learning. Sometimes students have the aptitude but not the attitude to face academic performances, and there is where emotional intelligence plays a fundamental role. We will see how this intelligence has a remarkable impact in the way students learn a second language.
