makes it easy to keep track of MEI
elements in the SVG output, as it passes
on their names and IDs.
mei2ly.xsl tries to build a clear,
structured, and readable LilyPond file.
But all the layout information
contained in the MEI may clutter up
the output. If a cleaner file is needed
for further work or if LilyPond should
try to figure out the best layout by
itself, there is silly.xsl, which simply
removes all layout information from
the MEI.
MEILER
MEILER is a set of XSL Style Sheets
that help you engrave your MEI
encoded music using LilyPond. The
core of it is mei2ly.xsl which converts
MEI files into LilyPond files. And it's
much more than a simple transfer of
notes and rests. It takes layout
information encoded in the MEI score
definition into account, as well as
coloring, and positioning of elements,
including offsets and much more …
The musical parts of this poster are
generated directly from MEI files
and kept in their original size.
