Papers by 19 speakers in five sessions, plus posters and finds. One session is dedi-

cated to brooches in memory of Sarnia Butcher. The conference fee includes free

Museum entrance plus private viewing of the Wessex galleries and Terry Pratchett:

His World, an exclusive major exhibition based on the extraordinary life of Sir Terry

Pratchett, the creative genius behind the Discworld series. Special 30th Anniversary

reception and evening social/meal (additional £20). Plus a pre-conference guided

tour of Salisbury Cathedral (small extra cost). Accommodation is available in nearby

Sarum College.

The authors show how Kenya is facing a continuing crisis over nationhood, heritage, memory and identity, which must be resolved to achieve social cohesion and peace.

This report presents the over 2500 metal small finds and 3000 nails recovered from Britain's largest Roman temple complex in the Ebbsfleet at Springhead. The metal finds include items of personal adornment and dress, household utensils and furniture, objects for weighing and measuring, pieces of toilet or medical equipment, tools associated with manufacture and agriculture, military equipment, ... A medieval sewing-thimble from Dolbenmaen, Gwynedd. Report for Gwynedd Archaeological Trust

This report examines a medieval sewing-thimble found during excavation of a prehistoric site at Dolbenmaen, Gwynedd. Details of its manufacture and decoration suggest that it has few close parallels, and it is proposed that it was made at an as yet unknown location in southern Britain.
